Dave's answer is correct. Basically, the pickup and everything you need EXCEPT the 13-pin cable and synth (and guitar). I recommend that you initially attach with the sticky tape that comes in the box (using their shims if you need to adjust height) but then once you get it set up so that it tracks well, drill holes for the screws (they provide screws but not drill). Don't rely on the tape alone. The tape loosens up if you play an outdoor gig on a hot and humid day!!! So use the screws they provide.

Do I need an external pedal to make it work, or does it make the piano and violyn sounds by it self?

you need an external pedal\FX unit that accepts the 13 pin cable.

Does the roland gk-3b divided pickup for bass come with all the mounting hardware?

Hi. Yes. It comes with everything so you can mount it exterior. This is not the internal Kit. Just the external one.

Will this work for 8 string guitar?

No. It’s designed to work with a four or five string bass. They make another model for guitars.
