Good product but it is overpriced.

The Hyper Drive is one fantastic product that is well built, small, very portable, and eliminates the need for several adaptors that would be required to allow one to use the new Mac type C ports. All 4 ports on my new MacBook Pro are type C which will not connect to any of my other hardware. This little jewel fixes all that and eliminate a lot of wires and adapters that otherwise would be required. Took it out of the box, connedted it to my Mac and everything worked fine. Love it.

I've never fully accepted the scarcity of connections on modern MacBooks. Thinner, entry-level models, I understand, but who thought it was a good idea to take everything other than USB-C off a MacBook Pro and fill our bags with dongles and adapters? This dock from Hyperdrive is portable and restores all much needed connectors (including Ethernet). Works out of the box, no driver installation required, which is a bonus. The only minor gripe I have is that the USB-A ports are very tight, and it's almost impossible to unplug a lead without the dock coming off the laptop. As a dock station with all your peripherals connected that shouldn't be a problem, but when plugging in USB keys / drives for temporary use, it can be annoying.
