Ordered these for my 5 year old who used to play with her older sisters from back in the day. I was surprised they still sold them. 3 of the 4 wouldn't move at all out of the package. Talk about a disappointment. They still made noise, so my daughter said she would still play with them and handled it beautifully. I wasn't satisfied so I took them apart and readjusted the connections...much to my husband's surprise. Now they all work except the one that went through the wash. Those 2 year old boys throw the most random stuff into laundry baskets. Anyway, 3 stars, but really some of that is for how awesome I was at fixing them. Tooting my own horn here.

I ordered zhu zhu pets hamsters for a family reunion at a beach house because I thought the tile floors would be perfect for these hamster to zoom around on. None of them worked even with new batteries. They would only chatter. I called the 1 800 number on the boxes and the customer service rep said to put new batteries in them and that did not work. Additionally, to put batteries in the pets you have to have a smail screw driver. We had to find a store and buy the screw driver. The wheels do not turn. I wish I had tried them before the family reunion now it is to late to get a refund on them.

I bought these because my grandchildren love the older ones we had. Two out of the four did not last long. One stopped working almost immediately and the other one did not last long. They still made noise but would not run. The original ones ran on wood floors onto the rugs and kept on running. These do not run on carpet or rugs. They are cute and the children love them, but it is disappointing when they don't last long.

I have purchased 2 individuals items, and this set. Only 1 out of the 6 currently works. Most stopped working the next day, 2 did not work right out of the box.

Very disappointed. Bought in 4 pack and 2 of the hamsters don't work. Granddaughter won't give them up so I can send back. I hate buying toys that don't work and you have to try and explain to your children/grandchildren why you want to send them back.

Fun toys for the Granddaughter, sadly only 3 out of the 4 worked!

The black one didn't work at all, the brown one made some sounds but didn't move, the white & green ones are good.
