Review: A compelling and insightful look into the origins of Thanos, with some great monologues and soundbites along the way. Although not considered canon in the MCU, this book might as well be as it answers many of the questions concerning Thanos' philosophy and how his Byronic character developed from a mutant child to the Mad Titan we know. His story somewhat mirrors Tony Stark, and we see just how 'cursed with knowledge' he is. The way the book fuses his 'saviour' complex with balancing the universe is brilliant, and his speeches on climate change and environmental disasters could also be interpreted as being analogous to our own civilization. The book matches the tone of the movies, and is filled with callbacks which I think would hit with casual fans. But if you're a hardcore fan and wanted to see more Thanos screentime, I think this can fill some of those gaps. Took me 8 months before I opened the book but then I couldn't put it down and read it in a day. Review: Great book for Marvel fans

Thanos was the son of A’lars, the wise leader of Titan, and Sui-San, his distant and absent mother. From the moment he was born, he was different, a surprise to his people. At just six months old, he walked not like a child, but like a grown man. By the time he turned one, he didn’t speak in simple words like other children. Instead, he spoke in full sentences, showing a sharp mind far beyond his age. Thanos had everything. He never lacked food, comfort, or care. But deep inside, he longed for something more, he wanted to belong. Despite all that he had, he often felt alone. Sintaa was, by all accounts, Thanos’s first and only friend. That made him his best friend by default. He was the only person who brought him any sense of joy. Thanos once said to him, "You are the first thing my father has brought to me that I actually enjoy," showing how much his friendship meant to him in his isolated world. There are many stories about the origins of Thanos, the Mad Titan, as countless as the stars in the sky. Each tale gives a glimpse of the being who would one day shake the universe. This is just one of those stories, but it is a powerful one. A few years ago, I came across this book by chance, during a small sale. At the time, I thought it was just a lucky find. But now, as I read the story of Thanos, I realize how incredible it truly is. As a fan of the Marvel Universe, this book feels like an essential read for me. It dives into the complexities of one of Marvel’s most iconic characters, offering insights into the mind of the Mad Titan. This is the perfect moment to explore the world of Thanos and understand the man behind the legend.

They should make this incredible novel canon. What an amazing thing an adaptation of this would be on the silver screen. Avoid garbage novels like thanos death sentence. Read this then read it again

Such a gripping book. Depth is added to Thanos as a character. As you journey through his quest you begin to relate to Thanos. You start to understand his motives how uniquely he sees the world. Highly recommend.
