This bag.....this BAG!
Oddly enough, this is my favorite bag. I have o-so-many.Let's pop a list:Jansport Ascent 48 3 day pack from way back, still totally viable and still in great shape after serious abuse, plus she held a super large laptop in the dayPantac Forward Deployment Bag; this bag is super sturdy, super everything, but I got another after it still....Eberlestock Battleship; yeah, I'm a bag whore, so what. This bag is stout through and through and has expedition level storageNone of that helped you did it? Me either. Because I never got a bag for moving about in day-to-day issues. The Jansport held up on that front for many years but I wanted to get a resorvoir into my system along with some organization. Little did I know back then that my camel-bak rogue(original) pouch would dump in my Jansport. Enter recently, I already had a mil-spec system in digi-camo with pouch. I took that out after strapping some maxpedition fatty pouches to it, no go.Once I got serious for a purpose built speedy pack I rounded all manufacturers and ended up back here. This pack has exactly the amount of capacity and expansion ability to keep it speedy and easy to streamline if it turns up not to be so. It has just enough compartments to make you choose wisely or overpack. It has that volume that if you are a fast mover, you can leave it empty and pick up what you need as you go. The station on my back is perfect, the balance is perfect, I could literally not ask for better. I keep a maxpedition bottle holder keepered to the outside with my maxpedition clear bottle from years ago(yeah, I was a whore for them at one point) and a maxpedition roly poly extreme bag strapped to the molle. The Antidote system makes the water pouch and tube super easy to care for and manipulate so don't worry that won't be a total blast like it used to be. The pouch is hooked in and easily unhooks for cleaning. The tube has so many click loose pieces you can't mess up unless you wan't too.Final Verdict: It is great. If I could get a little better molle outside, like 360, great. A few more morale patch areas, so my "Hey F*** Face" patch could get an additional member might be nice. This is my movin' and shakin' pack choice and my daily carry pack choice. I suggest you spend that little bit extra to get this because it is worth it.

Great small pack.
Awesome bag. The price is a little steep, but in this case it it worth it. Sturdy but not quite GI heavy and bulky. This is MORE than enough to carry anything around in and I'm sure would do police duty etc fine. Combat maybe not so much. The size is a tad big for a day pack but it is big enough to do overnights and more if you strap your sleep system to it. Conveniently with this one you can hang crud off the PALS or even use the buckles to snap larger addons to. No side pouches and 50 other pockets on the outside to get snagged and make this an impossible shape. You get a big green comfortable brick, which is what I wanted. The bladder is great although I don't ever use them except as a stand alone which you'd have to use a different carrier for, but it is a great piece and my wife loves them. Camelback sent me a new tube with the bite valve attached as mine came kinked from the factory. They didn't even ask for a picture or to return the bent part. I'd buy Camelbak anything any day.

Solid pack for hiking or urban adventures.
I have an obsession with backpacks and own more than any person should, and my collection includes a fair amount of Camelbaks and other hydration packs and bug out bags that I've collected since my time in the army. Bought this backpack as to replace my THULE pack that I used as an urban day-bag that carried work materials including binders, books and a laptop. This seemed to fit my needs size-wise, and the hydration component was a bonus. As a hiking pack, I think this is top notch and should meet most people's needs. There is enough space for a woobie (Army Blanket/poncho liner), 2 MREs, a small gopro case and maybe some extra socks and underwear. There is a top pocket that is not very deep, that is a perfect fit for my Garmin 5 inch navi in pouch, and my Nokia smartphone. All of this is exactly what I carry when I hike with my wife. The antidote reservoir is slightly thicker than the standard antidote reservoir you can buy at any sporting goods store, and the hose is insulated. The pocket where the bladder is stored is padded and seems well insulated too. I packed a full bladder 1/4 full of ice cubes and the ice was not melted all the way after an eight hour hike in mild (70 F) weather. For work or school, I'm not sure it's something I would recommend because the pockets and interior organizing spaces are just not functional for that purpose. The interior pockets are oddly sized, the small holes that seemed like they are made for pens are too shallow and way too wide to fit any writing instrument unless you have 1 inch diameter pencils that you trim down to 3 inches long. The other pockets don't fit index cards or anything else besides maybe sticky notes. The large pocket is really wide, so all of my stuff just ended up in there, instead of being neatly organized. The material of the interior pockets are also very cheaply made, which is a big disappointment for a $150 pack. It can carry a 15 inch laptop, but there is no protection in the way of padding or ability to strap down to prevent movement. All in all, a solid pack. The material is not as thick as what I'm used to getting with my THULE backpacks, but seems more durable than my expensive North Face 55L internal frame packs, which are supposed to last forever. Minus one star for the cheap interior materials.
