These locks use the old Weslock brand design. It is identical. Several other companies have put their name on the same design lock. I discovered after I bought them that Menards has the same thing for about three dollars less per log. The brand Titan . These have exposed screws To secure the locks through the hole in the door.which I have always found to be a pain to get started and drive in . But this is the way most residential locks are these days unless you get into the higher-priced Schlages .I have installed thousands of locks of all kinds in my business since 1975. Most all of them have st least some quirky issues for installation.

Seems like a solid lockset. Once you figure it out, it takes about half an hour per door. My first door took two hours because I didn't realize that lock positions were important prior to installation. Instructions are non-existent for that part.

Our old door knob tended to stick and needed to be replaced. This knob works very smoothly. It felt almost too smooth because we had gotten so used to the old knob!

two closet knobs on our 20-ish year old house had broken (one schlage, one kwikset -- both using plastic internal parts that broke in same place). selected this brand bc it is all metal (but for one tiny component). installed quickly and easily. purchasing a second one bc this one worked so well. looks good and fit same holes as the previous ones. doesn't hurt that this was less expensive.
