ChampionCopper Plus Small Engine 854 (RH10C) Pack of 1 (UPC 037551001194)

My Wheel Horse has a K301 12HP engine that calls for Champion RH10C. I guess the resistance is key to get the best results. Running great after a basic tune-up - Spark plug & wire, coil, points, condenser, carb rebuild and set the timing.

Perfect for my 8BA Ford flathead v8. I prefer these over the Autolite 216 only because these are nickel plated and do not show corrosion as readily as the black oxide coated Autolites. They perform great! NGK plugs are another great quality option, but it didn't seem aesthetically correct to install Japanese plugs in a very traditional American engine.

ALWAYS check the gap on new plugs.Here, I show the old plug, properly gapped at 0.030 and the new one at .010.That is significant, but easily fixed.LISTEN: When expanding the gap, DO NOT pry against the electrode.You can destroy the plug doing that.I use a thin wood chisel to pry the gap up by leveraging against the threadedpart of the plug. My Wheel Horse tractor purrs now with the new Champion RH10C. I thing I let the old spark go a little too long without giving it the attention it needed. The new plug should save me a little fuel as well with the proper gap....025
