Information for the battery
Received this, and put it on charge overnight, dismayed the charge light wouldn't turn green. Lantern wouldnt light, I was on the verge of returning it as faulty. It was only once looked at reviews on Google I discovered where the 18650 battery compartment was, (it's well hidden) and thought I'd have a look and see if there was a piece of cardboard protecting the battery terminal, and there it was, removed that, and now all is well. There needs to be a large sticker (the one on the base is tiny and not clear you have to remove something) or put into the booklet informing you to do this first,I haven't been able to test the lantern light yet, it's for when I go camping.

Lantern
Positives- Unique design with grab handle / clip- Red or white light- Innovative 120 or 360 degree white light output- Dimmable (hold down the switch to dim)- Rechargeable via micro-USB- Replaceable 18650 li-ion batteryNegatives- Flush on/ off switch is difficult to locate in the dark- A little dazzling at full brightness due to lack of diffuser- Some other rechargeable lanterns have longer run time

Great lantern, but it does have its shortcoming's.
Brought the Nebo Galileo 500 for a camping trip. Lasted for 1 full night and 3 hours on the following night. Bit disappointed with the internal rechargeable battery, but at least I know to carry batteries for next time.Fairly lightweight and compact lantern. Light is bright with three modes. 180 degree light, 360 degree light and red light, (which was my main attraction as it helps maintain your night vision and keeps the bugs away). All three modes have a dimming function. My main gripe is that even in the lowest setting the light is harsh on the eyes. Additionally, the way the lighting is directed, your more likely to see more benefit placing the light upside down, hung up, but there isn't a strap provided, however there are mounting points at the base of the lamp. All in all, cool looking lantern. Happy with what it does, but it has room for improvement, but don't get me wrong. For the price its a great deal. I used to be a massive fan of Olight, but Nebo beats them hands down on price- v -quality.Nebo if your reading this, please provide in your next iteration a:- Separate SOS button with morse code strobe (you never know when you may need it) just please don't add it as one of the modes on the existing button. - lanyard for hanging light upside down.- defuser for the outer windows to soften the light.- Maybe a dynamo with hand crank to recharge the rechargeable battery in an emergency?

Great Light Shame There is NO Instructions
Had there been instructions, I may have been aware that there was a rechargeable battery in the lamp.
