Its a great book.
My kid is a huge fan of the 'My truck is stuck' so buying another book from the author made sense. And I am not disappointed. The book is beautifully illustrated and if your little one is into trains...do not think twice - you should buy it... Another surprise element of this book was how the author has weaved 'going to bed' into the book. For days that my kid makes a huge racket about going to bed - we read this book together, he hugs his toy train and is off to sleep.

Great book.
Great book! Simple, rhyming text is good for young kids, and the illustrations are cute. Our 2.5 year old loves it.

Excellent train picture book, perfect in every way
What can I say? I work in publishing and this book has surpassed my expectations. Picture books are meant to be read aloud and the placement of each word, syllable, line break, and rhyme are critical. This book doesn't fail. The rhyme is perfect and a great pleasure to read; the repetition makes this a perfect book for reading aloud to your little one while sharing a calm moment together. As soon as we turn to the last page, my toddler signs "more, more" and this is one book that I never mind reading over and over again. The illustrations are incredibly vibrant, drawing from common children's toys and are 100% in sync with the story, adding much more to the story and meaning. Children learn to read first by "reading" illustrations, which they study for meaning, character development, plot and setting. The illustrations in this book are easy for a child to read on his/her own as they sit and turn the pages by themselves or listen to someone read it to them. The pictures from this book really speak to my children. In addition there is a nice "surprise" ending when you realize that this train is a toy train, brought to life by the little boy's imagination. I believe this sends a great message to children about imaginative play. My toddler who never expressed an interest in his own train set before (only real trains), became enamored with it after reading this book. This is also a good learning book for children who express an early interest in trains, introducing terms such as cargo, engine, caboose, roundhouse, freight train, engineer, etc.Truly, I find this book perfect in every way and recommend it highly for any train enthusiast or anyone wanting a new bedtime story.
