Does this stat include a gasket?

The gasket is used for the water (gooseneck) housing...that gasket sits on the flange that surrounds the hole the thermostat is dropped into...if your just replacing the thermostat and keeping the housing...ALWAYS clean the flange with non metal scraper to rid it of old gasket or silicone material...keep the old thermostat in the hole while doing this to insure no debris falls into the water and coolant..ALWAYS REPLACE WITH A NEW GASKET!!!..you can smear some high temp silicone on the gasket as well to help .....oh...and easy backyard pro tip!!!...go get one those cheap big under the bed storage bins that are only 8 or so inches tall but large enough to easily hold a few gallons of liquid...and stick that under the motor where your working...will save you some money on shop towels💯😊

Hi Brad, I just installed this thermostat about a month ago in my Jeep. I still have the box and just checked, it says "Made in USA".

No, this thermostat does not have a check valve.
