How well does this adhere to a leak on a liner bottom with a pool full of water

I used to to wrap around styrofoam dock floats in the lake. The ones I did early in the morning didn’t adhere as well as the ones I did late in the sunny afternoon. They have been in plCE FOR ABOUT 6 months now and doing well.
