The description says "24v voltage level converter" then later "12v". can i use 24v at the "+ input" terminal?

Yes , I am using this on a 3D printer at 24V.

What can i do with this?

This allows small, low current signals to switch larger voltages/currents like a switch, but in an isolated manner. It can also work in the opposite manner, high to low. The source circuit is completely isolated from the target circuit. I used this on my 3D printer to take a 24V digital signal and convert it to a 3.3 V signal connected a microcontroller pin on the board.

I need an optocoupler that receive 16vac from doorbell system and that produce 3.3v to connect to gpio pin from esp-01s. can i use this optocoupler?

It would convert then AC signal to a square wave signal.

Hi, Does it work with audio signals or audio amplifiers? or its just designed for digital signals?

In theory it can handle a signal frequency up 80KHz which is within the range of an audio signal. There are are two resistors on the board, one on the input and one on the output that can cut your signal. You may need to change these out depending on the level of your audio signal. I have seen the underlying chip, PC817, used in audio circuits (can't provide the link here but search on PC817). It conducts current in one direction so the audio would be distorted at best.

Works for 3D printing!

I used this to hook up a conductive probe to my Ender 3's 24v power supply. I had to swap the resistor for a higher rated one to do this as this optocoupler is rated for 12v but it worked wonderfully!

Works as advertized

Item works well. I use them on cars to take 12 volt inputs and activate low level 3.3 or 5 volt logic circuits on Raspberry Pis or Ardunios.
