I haven't had the chance to use this as a light box yet, but as a drawing board, it meets all my needs. I work mainly with 9x12 sheets, so it's ample enough without taking up too much desk space. My t-squares fit well, and the adjustments provide several slant options. Well worth the money and a great alternative to the pricier drawing boards on the market.

After researching Artograph and other light boards, I picked this one because it had different positions available. Little did I know, it DIDN'T HAVE A LIGHT SOURCE. Apparently, Sun Catcher style equates to no bulb! Very green, very mean. $78.00 for a board with glass. Returning it and I will check out Artograph LED light board or Comic Master. VERY disappointing!!!!!

I challenged myself to overcome a few key usage issues that light board users reported. First was eye fatigue. Then, I was concerned about fragility and the breakage of lights within a unit that is not user serviceable. Then, I happened upon this board and gave it a try. I like it because it allows me to control the amount of light I want reflected up at me while I work on the board. This is helpful when managing the contrast between daytime and nighttime light board work. As I also enjoy working outside sometimes, or just using natural light for the sake of color accuracy, it also allows me to trace using only ambient light if there is enough sunshine. The clip at the top isn't very useful for me, and is just a binder clip, but I do like that the tracing surface has a natural static cling that allows me to skip tape for certain projects. I am pleased with this purchase and would certainly buy it again. I especially like that the board folds totally flat and is easy to store.

This is a very versitile product. I use it for calligraphy, tracing and creating embroidery patterns. It's sturdy, easy to travel with, a good size and the middle can be used as a light board if you have a bendy lamp at home. The board is very adjustable and I love using it. I would absolutely recomend this product!
