This is a fabulous love story, with original, believable characters and a superb plot. It is Parkers best novel by far. But the love affair should have been between Allie and Tao, her best friend with benefits. The sex between them was far superior to the sex between Allie and Jal, the hero of the tale. In one encounter in the book, Tao gives her 4 orgasms in 30 white hot minutes! In another memorable episode, Tao is so energetic and has such stamina that when it's over, Allie feels like she has run a marathon. And the number of climaxes he gives her must have been higher still. By her own account, Tao is a perfect fit for her sexually. By contrast, Jal gives Allie far fewer orgasms in each of their encounters, and he has to use BDSM toys to help him achieve what he does. Worse still, Allie condemns the hero with the faintest of praises. She says a little something was missing in her previous sexual encounters, including those with Tao. That little something, she says, was Jal. In short, to Allie the hero of the tale is just a little something. Hence she condemns him with faint praise. Despite these shortcomings, this is a riveting, well written novel. Do not buy the audiobook. Two key chapters are missing and two are repeated in the audio version, creating confusion in the narrative. The author is the narrator, and her reading is uninspired.

Allie styles the handsome and wealthy billionaire Jal's hair and is instantly attracted to him.The feeling is mutual. He is engaged to be married to a wealthy woman due to a family arrangement. However things change.

How far is one person willing to go for another? It's so amazing how when a person with such a rough beginning can come back so strong and still be able to trust someone after growing up with such trust issues due to the fact that the people who were supposed to be there for her and protect her were the very people that destroyed her and all abilities for her to have a normal existence and not want to die due to the fear that she was surrounded with. I'm a little bit like her. I ,too, grew up not knowing if people cared about me or loved me enough to protect me from the things that go bumpy in the night. I'm still waiting for it to happen when I,too, can love someone without doubts and fears of being rejected and neglected and underappreciated.

Enjoyed every minute of this. Allie sees herself as weak. As the story progresses, she sees how strong she really is especially when it comes to those she loves. She also shows Jal the he can love just one person forever.

M. S. Parker is a great writer but this series just was okay. I did not dislike the series just did not care for the story line. The characters were good. Length good just did not feel this story as much as a loved her other series/books. Still would suggest just not for me.

I personally loved the story overall, wasn't some sappy romance novel. Storyline has good balance of drama & steamy encounters to keep you hooked. Appreciate how the female character wasn't usual helpless damsel instead intellectual, curvy and mixed. Would definitely recommend to friends and family.

Good book even though there was a lot of problems i thought Allie was hung up because of what her mother did but glad she was able to move on

I don't normally write a review but this book just got to me. It covered race, difference between rich and poor, relationships between illegitimate families, communities, bullying and same sex relationships. The two main characters were believable in their struggles and I just wanted to know them longer. Well done a very good read.

Another amazing story by this author. I loved everything about this box set and it's one I will be keeping on my Kindle and reading again.
