BerkleyProSpec Monofilament Fishing Line

I really like this mono in 39,40 and 50 pounds. I use it on conventional reels as a topshot so usually 100-150 feet at a time. It sits on the reel beautifully and it seems not to stretch quite as much as other mono does. I have never had an issue with breakoffs and it's knot strength is very, very good. Above 50lbs I go to Momoi Diamond as it's a bit more supple and easier to spool but it's also more expensive. I don't think you can go wrong with this mono.

Great slick line. Cast’s awesome with a Spey rod. Inexpensive and durable. Had a bunch of big King Salmon on and no breakage.

The line is extremely strong. The color is nice and bright so it’s really visible. It’s really abrasion resistant. I’m happy with my purchase. The price was good. I recommend this line to anyone that asked me what line they should use. This is going to be the only line I use from now on. I am more than happy with the purchase. It is done me good i’m putting this line on all my reels

This line has a larger diameter than big game or some other monofilament on the market, but it has great knot tying , and does great in heavy structure fishing for big cat fish!

This line is well worth the money! Best Line I've ever purchased this is all I use on all my reels! 1000 yards will easily spool up to four 6500 baitcaster reels! I use it specifically for carp fishing and it really helps to be able to see the line and the subtle movements! This line is extremely visible even at night it shows up great!

The only thing I don't like about this line is that it holds a memory

Love the color and knots hold awesome but always check your line if in questionable water it does nick it’s mono

My husband asked for this item specifically for Christmas.Easy to see line.Very hard to break.

I have been using this line since it came out as a mainline while ocean fishing. I am often fishing salmon using a mooching technique that requires you to carefully watch the rod and line for movement, and where we are fishing four lines at the same time in a fairly small boat. The visibility of this line is excellent. Moreover, the line itself works splendidly. I haven't managed to break it as a mainline yet, even when really big salmon sharks have hit instead of the expected salmon. Ditto seal lions stealing fish on the line. My similarly rated leader already has snapped instead.

Low memory, strong and durable. Using for drift fishing, it holds up well and has yet to fail me in a fight.

I ordered this line because I have Berkley Pro Spec Chrome and wanted to see if the Professional grade was any better. The knots were easy to tie but after one fish the line began to twist. Replaced swivel in case this was causing the twisting. After again catching another fish the memory of the line was terrible. I wish I could return this for the Berkley ProSpec chrome. Would never recommend

This would have got 5 star but twice when I was trying out a "grinner" knot and hadn't tied it correctly THE line snapped at knot while i was tension it , without all that much pressure ,because the knot didn't look right, I had not wet the knot but was so very surprised that it snapped so easily . Have used it as main body on loads of beach casting rigs with no problems since .
