Veemoh 22 LED Light for Go Pro Hero 4 / 3+ Video Camera

Just Received, test it it..... and yes the relation size to illumination is outstanding.... think it is very unobtrusive, weighs, nothing and the amount of lumens it emits..... is awesome.... of course it is not going to replace illumination for grand framing of far away objects but it is a great filler light at shorter distances. Yes the only drawback is that you ought to feed power to this light.... as in a battery back up or something. I know many people say it defeats the purpose of the GoPro , well not really sure there are going to be many instances where you do not and cannot use it.... but same may be said for half of the accessories I own, each thing may be suitable for many purposes but not for all. The GoPro is the world's most versatile camera at day...but at night it just sucks. Just look at the photos. It is super lightweight, crazy bright and fits perfectly onto my Hero+ LCD. Since I have the LCD I was worried that the velcro strap would cover the screen completely and defeat the purpose of it. Thankfully, the velcro only covers a small left portion of the screen.Pros:-crazy bright-lightweight-cable is pretty long-snaps on perfectly-doesn't get hot fast-energy efficientCons:haven't found any yet, but if I do, I'll report it hereI use the AmazonBasics Powerpack and even after a whole consecutive hour, it didn't even use up one bar!

We do not own a GoPro, but it works great with iPhone/iPad(or other smartphones) My wife uses her IPhone to make YouTube diy videos and she wanted a video light, wich were all ridiculously expensive.I bought this because it was inexpensive and the brightness was better than most; not only does it work well, but a smartphone can be used to powering the light with a OTG usb cable! The Velcro strap fits perfectly around a smartphone or tripod-phone mount as well!Great buy!

The light is fine. The fastener is not. Be prepared to come up with your own makeshift solution to stick this thing on your GoPro case. Apparently it's designed to be used with a velcro strap, but I certainly didn't see one in the small simple package that came, and I'm finding myself *deeply* annoyed trying to come up with my own solution to something that should have been simply designed into the damn product.

Light intensity info: 1 foot 800 lux, 2' 175 lux, 3' 60 lux, 4 foot 20 lux 5600Kusing a coffee filter diffuser: 1 foot 300 lux, 2 foot 200 lux, 3 foot 12 luxso this unit has about a 4 foot effective range. This is using a cellphone lightmeter, so its pretty low tech. but no one lists any light intensity reviews for any constant lights.I bought a separate battery for it. I think it will work for what I want, fill light for semi closeup shoots, like 3-6 feet. Yes a separate battery is not great. But an internal battery would add a lot of bulk and weight. They should offer a separate battery pack.That all I havet o say

I just received it and I am utterly disappointed at the fact that the light HAS to be connected to a power source for it to work, which totally defeats the versatility of using it along a GoPro. I will admit that the light is bright but this is no functional.

I use this on my Go Pro HERO 3+ Black Edition (inside the shell) for urban exploration, and it works as an excellent source of light in the dark! I use this camera on a chest harness, so I'm able to tuck the Veemoh 22 LED Light's usb cord around the straps to keep it from dangling from my body, then just run it up to a USB battery bank in my backpack or pocket.- Ultra Bright- Easy to Attach- Works exactly as Expected

This light is very bright. I sits back far enough so it doesn't effect when your filming. Also mounting is easy. Just plug it and it turns on. What would be a great thing is if you could turn on lights in different sections at a time. Please contact me if any questions.
