The Amazing World of Horses Midnight Edition: Adult Coloring Book (Amazing Horses)

Another Favorite coloring book by Cindy Elsharouni! I absolutely love the black background, as they make your coloring POP! The first photo that I included is one that I did as a quick, relaxed, yet quirky with a 70s flavor to it, as I wanted to see how my Prismacolor Premier markers would turn out! As with any alcohol based markers, you do get the bleed through, but it isn’t drastic, and easily remedied by putting a sheet of paper behind the page that is being worked on. The second photo one is a work in progress, and is also another experiment with the markers. The horses are beautifully illustrated, with fun patterns to play around with!Beginner Friendly, and all ages can enjoy this book. There are a handful of horses without patterns for those who wish to take a temporary break from the awesome patterns. The paper quality isn’t at all that bad, and allows for a few layers of colors, whether it be markers, colored pencils, gel pens. I am also able to force the book to bend around, while I work on a specific page, and yet once I’m done, I’m able to close the book, bend once in the opposite way and it returns to its original “form”. Very pleased!I’ve enjoyed Cindy’s books so much that I’ve purchased others and they all have the same awesome quality with high end illustrations!So the bottom line is any of her books are very, very worthwhile to purchase, whether it be for yourself or a loved one!*Note: This is my honest review and I did not receive special promotional deals, freebies, etc*

I like the 'midnight' style as it makes the colors of a finished picture POP. It's a bit tricky to pull individual pictures out and that is what I need to do for my young students- but other than that the student and I are very happy with this coloring book.

Have the original version of this book and the midnight black background adds more impact. Buy both. There are so many beautiful horses it is great to color them more than once! The one negative with both books, as they are identical other than black background, is a few horses with inaccurate conformation. This cover a perfect example, the body is twice as deep as it should be, all out of proportion.

It is a pity that such gorgeous, soulful and heartwarming images are NOT on a great quality paper that they deserve.I would love to use Stabilo and make every horse a Beauty. But even with regular pencils this is one of my favorite coloring books.Please, please, charge more for a book but use good thick paper.Beautiful horses. Thank you.

Lovely pictures, paper could be thicker, most horses along the lines of native American ponies. Lovely to see.
