I have a stihl br600 backpack blower and doing a complete engine rebuild, sthil reconmends dirko ht, should i use the red or gray?

When I used to rebuild Porsche 911 engines in the '80s we always used Dirko Grey between the case halves. I never had a comeback. But, use it Sparingly! squeeze it on then wipe it off with your finger. Only leaving the thinnest layer on each surface.

What is the cure time before adding oil if using as oil pan sealant?

apply to oil pan, wait 5-10 minutes then install oil pan and torque to spec. Then wait 12 hours before adding oil for a leak-proof seal. Trust me, wait before adding the oil.
