Brilliant - would definitely recommend!
This book is fantastic - it's really well set out, colourful, fun and has so many great ideas in it. My 8 and 10 year olds have really enjoyed looking through it and planning what they want to try out - it would definitely appeal to younger children too. It will be great to keep looking back at throughout the seasons - such a great idea and well presented. I would definitely recommend & plan on getting a few copies as presents for friends this Christmas!

Lovely book for little people
This book is divided into seasons and for each season there are an array of activities. Many of the activities don’t require much additional purchases but rather foraging for natural objects in the outdoors. The pictures and layout is very appealing and the activities look fun and engaging.

A lovely book for children with a garden
This is a beautifully laid out book full of great things to do if you live in the right sort of place & have things to hand like Modge Podge. It's simply & clearly written with many great photographs throughout making it easy to follow. To do the majority of the activities you need access to outside spaces - one double page spread covers 50 things to do at the seaside so really only useful if you live on the coast. Many others require access to wild areas containing pine cones, fallen leaves, feathers, flowers & twigs, bramble patches, conker trees, a lot of dandelions that you can guarantee have not been sprayed with chemicals, space to create outside obstacle courses, grow planters of things, build little ponds in bowls or water bowls for birds etc... you get the idea. Some of the activities could be done if there is a big park nearby, but I'd say less than a quarter of this book would be easily achievable if you don't have access to a garden or live in a more rural setting. As I am lucky enough to live in the right sort of location & have a garden, we will get some use out of this book.I am looking forward to trying to make dandelion honey when we next have a load of dandelions in the back garden. For nurseries or primary schools who have a garden within their grounds this could be also be a lovely resource book. It's really aimed at getting your kids outdoors & into nature which only works if you live in the right sort of place already.
