At Last Delicious Wine When I Want It, Even Weeks Later!
In our house I like white wine my husband prefers red and we both just like a glass with a meal once or twice a week, but my white wine soon goes off and even his red just isn’t as nice after a week. We’ve been buying individual small bottles of wine that hold a glass, which is a good solution but the choice is limited. So when I saw this Coravin brand Pivot+ wine preservation system I was super excited to try it out.It comes with 2 Pivot stoppers, 2 Coravin Pure Capsules, these are the little argon gas cylinders, and 1 Pivot Aerator. The Pivot device looks well made with a simple twist off base that holds a capsule, it’s easily twisted back on, then open your wine, put a Pivot stopper in the bottle then insert the thin metal part of the device into the stopper until it clicks, hold the bottle and with the other hand press the button and pour to your required amount of wine. Slide the device out of the stopper and pop it’s attached lid back on and store the remaining wine on its side in the fridge. The argon gas drawers the air out of the bottle as you pour keeping the wine in perfect condition. Well it’s easy to do and so far it’s working remarkably well. Each gas capsule will give you up to 20 small glasses of wine, so realistically around a dozen decent size glasses. Getting replacements is easy from Amazon, though the capsules aren’t cheap, but keeping good wine tasting fresh is worth doing if you drink a little weekly as we do. I’m very impressed with this clever device. There’s also a free aerator accessory perfect for red wine, just pop it onto the Pivot devices pouring spout and use as normal, the aerator can simply be pulled off the spout and rinsed for next time.I’m very happy to recommend this wine preservation system from Coravin, it works really well, though I will update if I find any issues. Thank you for reading my review I hope it’s helpful to you.

Works perfectly
This is such a nifty device that is ideal for my lifestyle. I love an occasional glass of wine (probably once a week) but my wife doesn't drink, so opening a bottle for one glass for the wine to sit there into the next week I find the freshness quickly diminishes. Trying this out I've noticed that flavour and freshness is maintained and it really works. So I can see how this works well for people like me, I don't feel like I'm wasting money on wine that I enjoy less and less as the three or four glasses I get out of it gets worse each occasion. I can also see how it would work well for very expensive and high end wines that deserve to be enjoyed over a longer period of time.So it's a really clever invention and also an investment as I feel although it doesn't save money it makes the money spent on wine more reasonable. It comes beautifully presented and is a cool looking gadget. It will be envied by others without a doubt and is a real talking point. I'm very glad I got this.

Easy to use and keeps the wine fresh for a good long time
Great little bit of kit. Simple to use but make sure you read the instructions properly. Unscrew the bottom section and drop the canister onto the opening. Don’t force it in or it will puncture and spit it out. Instead replace the bottom section then quickly to avoid loss of gas screw up the bottom as quickly as you can. The canister punctures as you screw it up. That’s the gas in and easy enough. Open your win bottle quickly and place the rubber stopper into the bottle with the cap off. Insert the contraption until it clicks and you’re good to go. Tip the wine then press the button to pour. Gas fills the void in the bottle and wine comes out. Add the knozzle to the pourer if you want to add air as the wine pours. When you are finished or opening a different bottle remove the contraption from the rubber stopper and you can seal the lid and open another bottle keeping your first one sealed. Love this device.

Makes a difference without
I've been unable to drink wine very much as I like to drink small glasses and it can take a week to finish a bottle - by which time it's had to go down the drain.Using half bottles and boxed wine severely limits choice and the vacuum pumps seem to only get you an extra day. With the Coravin I've had bottles on the go for a week with no noticeable change in flavour so it's been a marvelous little tool.Looking forward to exploring lots of different wines now!Makes a difference without

Ok for a budget version
Seems to work, but hard not to get wine drops everywhere, especially when using the shower head. Also expensive cartridges

Does as you expect
This has quickly become a favorite kitchen gadget. I do enjoy the odd glass of wine but rarely buy any as much of it goes to waste. When this came up I thought I'd give it a go and see how it performs, and I must admit, I am impressed.Firstly - build quality seems very solid, arrived quickly and in a nice little box, and came with the required capsules. It wasn't overly difficult to understand how it works and getting it started was easy. The longest I have tested this is around 14 days (although it claims up to 4 weeks) - and I didn't notice a loss in taste/colour or smell. So I guess it does what it says. Price seems pretty high but after doing some research this actually appears to be on the cheaper side for these systems. You do however have to factor in the capsules, obviously these are going to last a variable amount of time based on how often you're using it and each one costs around £8. Would I use this for a cheap bottle of wine? Probably not. Would I use this on an extremely expensive bottle? Also Probably not. But anywhere in the middle- I would gladly.Overall pretty happy, would recommend.

Very useful gadget to keep your wine fresh.
Very useful gadget to keep your wine fresh.Admittedly,it's very rare that a bottle in my house isn't finished in one,but on the occasions that they are not,and for cooking wine, this works well.I've been using it on a bottle of Sake that I use for cooking. It's really made a difference and means I can now use the whole bottle, whereas before, I would invariably end up throwing some away as it had gone 'off'.
