FLOR Carpet Tile 430 Square Feet

So I've spent over 2k on three rugs after our remodel to give our house a new look. Per advertisement, easy to clean and you can size it any size to fit your area. I will give them the sizing portion. Be aware, while you can easily remove one square to clean if you need to, once you put that one square back it will stand out from the rest of the rug. There is no easy to clean this rug. Once wet it is very heavy and take days to dry and the smell remains. The stickers will come off if you ever move the rug so slightly. It does not stay in place unless you never move it, ever. I can see this working if you live by yourself, and not used in high traffic area. I even bought a machine to clean the rug, but after removing all the stickers, cleaning it, drying it and trying to put it back it's more of a pain than anything. I tried calling customer service serval times no answers, finally via email I got a hold of them and all they offered is extra stickers and still haven't rec'd those. I can't believe I spent 2k on this company. I rarely write reviews but I feel you need to know what to expect when you are buying it, especially the light color rugs.

I am very happy with this purchase and seller! A great bargain and the look I was able to create was better than expected.It's all about quality for cheap, if you're willing to not care about what colors you get. I researched FLOR products (eco-friendly, non-offgassing, recyclable) last year but never decided because they were rather expensive. These tiles are genuine FLOR brand tiles of random patterns and colors, and I was able to work with them straight out of the box despite being very chemically sensitive. My decision was really about price - FLOR tiles usually cost $9 (on sale) to $35 each. I knew they would be different from the picture and wasn't expecting a lot, but they are beautiful and the combination makes an elegant pattern. Probably about half are subtle patterns and shades, and the rest have a more clear design or print. Many of the tiles I wouldn't have liked at all in bulk (rust-tan swirl) but they provide a great pop of contrast.The process we use to install is as follows. I sent and I sorted the seven boxes into color groupings, at the same time taking out all of the very light tiles for another project because we knew we would have extra. He also chose his favorites and set them aside. We also separated out 6- 10 rather atrocious tiles (so if you buy these, allow for a bit more extras than you normally would ) .Our family has mold and chemical sensitivity so we didn't want to put regular carpet in a basement with a cement subfloor. We marked two perpendicular lines in the most square corner at exactly one tile distance from the wall. We laid out half of the tiles and then went back and taped that half.We had previously sealed the subfloor with an eco-friendly products from green building supply.We used a repositionable double sided carpet tape and put an X in each corner. the baseboard will cover any flaws in the cutting up to a quarter inch. We were very impressed by how precisely cut these tiles are making the squares perfectly lined up and exchangeable with other squares when you don't like the pattern . Since these tiles can also be washed in the sink , another one can be put in its place while drying.Because this apartment is for an elderly person , we worked hard not to have too many contrasting transitions . For the smaller office shown in the pictures , we saved out the neutrals and put the rest in the large bedroom. We put the darkest tiles under where we believe the bed and entertainment center will be . My dad is a tie-dye artist, (tie-dyes dot com :), and is going to love it.(Note: you can't tell that these are genuine Flor tiles from the backing, but I compared them to samples that I received from the company and they are identical, plus I can tell by my nose and lack of headaches) .

Buyer beware: these cannot be installed over existing carpet. I paid to have it shipped and only found out upon delivery in the installs instructions. I am now out > $100 in shipping fees. Luckily I was able to return them.

Love the mix we got and the versatility! Ours stay in place without anything else (just on top of VCT) with little ones running all over the room.
