After years of terrible itching 1-4 days after shaving my legs, I came to the point where I just hid them and shaved only for a very special occasion or two. After looking into crystal exfoliators and being horrified by the raw skin they cause, I found this. My itching was from hair being trapped beneath my inflamed/thick skin, and where scratching it would release the hair, it also caused a lot of irritation and oozing rashes. As an African American man it took me many years to overcome my fight against ingrown hair. In large part because I did not understand how I needed to shave! The TSTONE and other products like it help to train your hair not to curl back up into the face causing bumps. I would like to share my routine in hopes that it will help those who struggle like I did…Let me start by saying no situation or routine works for everyone because there are always exceptions to everything because of underlying conditions etc. But here we go!1. Use the TSTONE as directed at least once or twice a day morning and night preferably to exfoliate ingrown hair.2. Apply a pre shave oil such as JoJoba I also love the Art of Shaving oil!3. Apply your preferred shave cream over the pre shave oil for maximum glide and zero irritation.4. Use a high quality single blade razor or a razor for sensitive skin such as the Gillette Skin Guard which is my current razor of choice.5. Shave in the direction of your facial hairs growth,6. Finish the job with a soothing after shave balm and moisturizer.Conclusion: This is the only method that has worked for me and it has proved 99% effective and I no longer worry about fighting ingrown facial hair!! If you are worried about the routine taking too long it really doesn’t once you get use to it. The other important point to consider is that what could be more important than taking care of your face and eliminating painful unsightly razor bumps!

tl;dr: may be nice exfoliator, but not useful at all for chronic shave bumps that do not go away, and a good pre-shave oil may be better at preventing shave bumps than this.When shaving my neck area, I have tried many different blades, adjusted the closeness of my double edge razer, numerous types of shaving creams and gels but I always tend to get the neck bumps. I also still have some spots on my thigh that stay discolored due to ingrown hair.When using on the spot on my thigh, the discoloration seems to immediately improve but the bumps do not go away. Even after several times a day, one week later there was ultimately no difference in the number of or color of these ingrown hair prone spots.When using on my neck, there was not really any difference in the intensity or number of neck bumps. I am not going to return it though because it may be useful for exfoliating, but if your goal is to specifically reduce the little bumps after shaving, it probably won't help you.What may help you, however, is a changing your shaving gear. When I switched from standard razor to double edge safety razor, the amount of bumps I would get decreased a lot but was still prominent. Just recently, I bought a somewhat fancy pre-shave oil. Adding the pre-shave oil to my shaving routine has further dramatically reduced the amount of shave bumps. So try playing around to find a good preshave oil that works for you. Ultimately this product is okay, but will most likely not do anything about existing or preventing bumps.

Amazon shipping was poor, but I glued the stone back to the base and have been using it daily..... definitely helps reduce my bumps I still get some but way wayy less and if i go 3 days with out shaving my hair growing doesnt hurt me like it used to

((UPDATED REVIEW) I have now been using these T-stones for a year, it DEFINITELY WORKS). It has cleared my skin GREATLY. I had dealt on and off with razor bumps for over a decade. Some weeks my skin was clear and then it would flare up. I had problems with products working consistently on my skin. I used Magic Shave for about two years and eventually my skin became tired of the harsh chemicals so the bumps came back. I also had tried special razors that were supposed to prevent bumps. I tried creams and ointments which usually clog pores and make skin worse. The T Stone has WORKED FOR A YEAR. I usually won't use on dry skin, it is good to create a skin barrier by applying a little bit of oil to the face and lathering face heavily with soap/facial cleanser and water before exfoliating with the stone. THIS IS THE ONLY PRODUCT THAT HAS WORKED OUT OF ALL MY YEARS OF SHAVING. I just wonder why the product is not well known among men and barbers, it should be a common household item especially among AA males who suffer with razor bumps. You see so many AA males with bumps even movie actors sometimes. If they ever stop making this, a regular pumice stone will work but is not as ergonomically designed. Thanks so much.

I did not know about this product and wish I had heard about it sooner! I never used to get these annoying bumps, but all of a sudden, they came in droves. I've tried many things, like many people go through, creams, exfoliants, razors, etc. Most did work well, but this is the first product I've run into that doesn't only help to alleviate razor bumps, but lives up to its design and plucks out those buried hairs! I do have some still popping up but not nearly as bad as before. I will probably have to give an update on this review, as I really like this product/company! They've developed something so simple, nonabrasive, and does what it's marketed to do! Their customer service is exceptional, with fast response times and full transparency! Hopefully, this review will at least make you consider giving them a try!
