I travel routinely for work, and I just got a new pair of AirPods Max's and I was hesitant to just throw them in my bag - I wanted something to afford more protection but since I am a consistent over-packer, I also need to be mindful of case size so it doesn't take up too much room in my bag. I don't think I could find a smaller case - that also allows me to keep the native sleeve on other than a soft pouch. Win Win for me! (12 oz can for size reference)

Perfect way to protect your headphones

Fits my AirPods Max perfectly. Love that I can use it both with and without the Apple case. It's very sturdy and does a great job protecting my headphones in my bag. Highly recommend!

Had to let it air out a few days it smelled funny other than that works great and looks great

The case is well-made, durable, and seems to deliver on its promises. However, I’ve noticed some strange behavior with my refurbished headphones (maybe it’s just me?). Even when they’re zipped up in the case and supposedly “asleep,” my iPad and iPhone 15 Pro sometimes still think they’re connected. This has caused battery drain issues, which is especially frustrating during long trips when I discover they’re too low to use.To be fair, this could be a quirk of my headphones (they’ve been through a lot over the past three years), but I can’t entirely rule out the case either. It happens intermittently, so it’s hard to pin down the exact cause. Just something to keep in mind if you’re buying this case for its auto-disconnect functionality.One other note: while you can charge your headphones while they’re zipped in the case, it’s a bit awkward with standard lightning cables. A 90-degree angled cable would work much better and help avoid strain on the cord.Overall, it’s a nice case that does its job most of the time—but if your headphones are as quirky as mine, you might need to do some troubleshooting!

There’s no way around it - a case will add bulk. Fortunately, they keep it to a minimum with this one. I bought a case when I bought my APM. It turned out to be so big it took up more space than it was worth and I ditched it after a couple weeks. Fast forward to now and I’m having to clean my bra case more and more and happened to see this case recommended in a APM forum. In truth, it’s probably not really so much thinner than my previous one but, in hand, it feels like it’s half the size. Totally different experience. I love it. My only complaint, and it’s very slight, is that I need to slide the headband into the tightest position to fit it properly in the case. No problem for the case, just concerned about the wear on the headband. It’s otherwise fantastic. So if you are looking for some extra protection for your Max, I absolutely recommend this WIWU case.

This feels like better protection for my Dendy AirPods Max than what Apple provides. I think these are also less obvious to a casual viewer about what they are than what some provides, thus less risk of opportunity theft. My brother lost a pair of Bose headphones for just such clear ID of the product. The fact I can vary my AirPod Pro 2s in the same case is a bonus.
