What a book!
Who would think that a book about a cancer doctor could be so uplifting? Dr. Eisenberg's writing is funny and moving at the same time. You'll feel your eyes welling up while letting out a giggle more than once while reading. This book recounts several patients' life-changing battles with cancer guided by a smart, compassionate doctor who is also trying to find his true authentic self. Dr. Eisenberg always knew what a big influence music and laughter had in his personal life, but when he marries those passions with his career as an oncologist, the magic happens. This book left me wanting to be a better version of myself for me, my family, my friends, and basically everyone. Love is the Strongest Medicine is a must-read.

Pages of Joy
Once in awhile a book comes along that has a heart. This is that book. I received it late one afternoon and finished it the very next morning. Thats how good it is. An amazing love filled ride that takes the reader on a magical mystical tour. Seventeen pages into the book and a patient named Barb had me in tears. The author takes you on his journey from a near death experience (as a boy) to his medical school training and finally his own cancer diagnosis. We are introduced to his patients who I personally took as angels. They eventually made him a better doctor, musician, father, husband and most importantly a more loving and compassionate person. The book has no speed bumps, it is a smooth and wonderful literary cocktail. It is obvious that if you were ever touched by cancer this will help lift your spirits. On the other hand if you just need a little TLC, it also works wonderfully.

Love Rocks. So does this book.
What a sweet, wonderful book this is. Honestly, I had stopped reading books because I was being lazy and was simply watching documentaries and videos. But this book got me reading again. Why? Because it is inspirational to myself and to our own efforts to add humor to the oncology experience at LaughMD.com. Like Dr. Steven, we promote recovery through humor. So to read all the ways Dr. Steven is helping patients was a truly uplifting joy! I even gifted copies of the book to 2 friends with cancer, to Lee Tomlinson, the founder of the Compassion in Medicine movement (C.A.R.E.), and to the head of the USC Norris Cancer Center. THAT's how much I liked it. You will, too.

Inspiring and Helpful Guide
Even as a person who does not have cancer and doesn’t need the assistance of an oncologist, I found Love is the Strongest Medicine to be a touching and inspiring journey into the world of those who hear from their doctor that they have cancer. Dr. Eisenberg reveals much of himself, his own struggles as a doctor, and his growing depths of understanding and empathy, and leaves the reader with a much greater understanding of what is required from the inside out when one receives such a diagnosis. He also lets us into his discovery of the role of Music, connectedness and self-love. Well written and a pleasurable and funny read, I can highly recommend this book to anyone whose life or that of their loved ones is touched by such an illness. With gratitude and great appreciation.

An important book for staying healthy and, when needed, true healing.
I first met Dr. Eisenberg at a meeting for healthcare practitioners, and later had the pleasure of viewing his past appearance on The Today Show, and more recently a try on America's Got Talent.Steven's book is a much-needed, caring and supportive guide to living a healthy life in deep connection with others, and the benefits of those kinds of true connections in healing when health challenges arise.A classic along with beloved books such as Chicken Soup for the Soul, Love is the Strongest Medicine marries the science of a doctor who has treated and healed thousands, to the unlimited benefits that can help us live better lives when we connect with each other . . . so strongly recommended for you and your loved ones.
