The thing about Mira is, she’s truly messed up. Not just in a “cute, quirky” way, but with real struggles. That’s REAL.But I mostly love these books because Jess Lourey can toss out 5 hilarious throw away lines in 4 sentences. They sneak in so quietly, that I’m constantly snorting out loud.“Sass” is over used with female protagonists, but Jess just sees life from a skewed angle.

Mrs Berns steals the story. Glad Mira and Johnny are getting together. Happy to have Gary Wohnt back. I wonder if there will be anyone for Kennie.

Our heroine is a gal that makes mistakes, part of her charm. The stories make me laugh, her characters are delightful if a bit quirky. Do try the first series, can't bet tbe price. I am ordering the third set. Light reading butthe stories are very creative

I do really like the characters, setting, and story line. The lack of proofreading and editing is bothersome, especially in book 7, but still good stories.

I love this series. There are laugh out loud moments. Mira and Mrs Berns make an unlikely duo but so funny together. Hopefully Mira and Johnny will get together….but what about Gary?

Well written series of correlating stories are interesting and make pleasant reading. I have read most of the books and really enjoy the mysteries and the description of the locality in which they are set.

Yes, I liked the mysteries, but some portions weren't as believable. I found Mira "talking to herself" was often comical. She runs a library, but she's too "shy" or whatever with the guy who really likes her.

Good, kept me amused on a cold wet day
