🔧 Upgrade Your Connectivity Game!
The Chenyang USB 3.0 Front Panel Header is a 20cm Y splitter cable that converts a single 20-pin motherboard header into two USB 3.0 female ports, allowing for easy access to high-speed data transfer from the front panel of your chassis.

Works well. Tough cables.
I got one to place some flash sticks inside a server case. Note that this adapter has quite thick and tough cables, so it can easily damage a connector at your motherboard if bent too much. I strongly recommend to tie the cables to the case in such way that they do not bend much.

Works as described
When I built my personal system, the standard for USB3.0 headers was not yet defined. The case manufacturer (Antec) put the USB3.0 front case port as just a USB3 extension cable that runs out the back of the case to the motherboard. The case is an Antec Lanboy Air (Yellow)With this adapter I was able to plug the front panel extension into the header and tie it in the case nicely, freeing a back port and making the setup cleaner.

Unreliable and dangerous
I bought two of these with different angled connectors. Both displayed terrible reliability with USB 3 devices randomly connecting and disconnecting. It threatened to corrupt several storage devices. I think the problem might be related to insufficient power being supplied to connected devices.

Too bad it wasn't compatible with my HP computer
It looks sturdy and the was the two USB-A female connectors are separate is a nice plus, I just couldn't get it to work on my HP Z240 Tower Workstation. HP like other companies like to "customize" parts so that you have to buy replacements from them. Too bad, I really wanted this adapter to work, I had great plans for this.

Worked Great
Worked great no problems and no driver issues with WIndows 10 - it just immediately recognized it. Used on an Acer Desktop motherboard (which is pretty basic). Connected this to the M/B USB 3.0 header and then connected a USB 3.0 to SATA cable to add another SATA port to the motherboard on the Acer. Everything worked faultlessly.

Working perfectly
Exactly what I needed as my Corsair 650D has front panel USB 3 ports with external connectors since this case came out before the motherboard headers were standard. This works perfectly for my needs and speeds are great.

Indeed, it can damage your 3.0 header
I had seen the earlier review that this could damage your 3.0 header, and mindful of that, I tried to be very careful inserting it and then removing it. Despite all this, the connections are tight enough that it still damaged one of the pins (pushing it inward and then distorting it as it came out) when I removed it from the motherboard. An 800-dollar z690 Formula motherboard, the most expensive I've ever purchased. Geez! The pin is still there and can be re-aligned... mostly... though it still seems shorter than its peers for the experience. The USB connection itself seems to work... though I didn't help with my Corsair LCD screen kit (itself a finnicky product that works easily enough except for the actual screen control in iCUE). Other USB devices within the case would probably work. But that's an assumption, as the other features were working running off this, just not the screen control (plugging into 2.0 headers also had this problem).TL/DRIt seems to mostly work, but be careful inserting it and especially removing it!!Two stars for working. But only two, since it can and did damage mobo headers, mine and others too, given reviews.
