these are a very well-built headset. i have an old version that started to shed the covering on the fabric headband. after trying these, i noticed that the microphones are much better than my old set AND the sound suppression is way better. i really like the comfort gel (rubber?) headband too. i will be buying a second set.

Works great and does a good job of muffling gun shot while still able to hear people talk.

Decent ear protection and the sound cut-off/dampening under fire works as expected for indoor use in a 22lr to 45/38 pistol only range. 357/44+ and rifle fire next to you could be too percussive and require add'l ear plugs. Fit is snug around my ears and adjust to size easily. I shoot in a league competition so need to have audio on all the time to hear instructions on the line. Voice tone is clear. I use them for at least an hour at a time but sometimes more if there's post game tie breakers. Am not sure how long a set of batteries should be expected to last BUT just remember to shut off the audio when finished or the bats will be dead by the next day. Always carry extra SETS of batteries in your gear bag.

Better than expected. Talking, general noise sounds something like a walkie talkie. Does a great job picking up all the sounds around you. These were bought for hunting/gun range. Went to the range this morning to test. I’m shooting a 9mm full size Beretta APX A1. Beyond impressed with the sound suppression. Still heard the shot but almost whisper quiet. Man shooting on the rifle range 200 yards away, even more quiet. Burned 100 rounds, no issues. Very comfortable as well with my small ears. Very impressed. Just ordered a pair for my wife. Now maybe I can con her into going to the range more often.

Work like a charm! I wish I would have bought these a long time ago. I'm not one of those guys that shoots constantly or competitively so I can't compare them with any others of higher quality. To me these are high quality, I'm sure there are a lot better ones so it makes me wonder how much more are you getting for ones that cost 4 or 5X more? I have never worn any ear protection during whitetail gun season. Now that I am older I want to protect my hearing more than what I have in the past. Recently I bought a 45/70...you definitely need ear protection with that beast and these do the trick. I have owned them now for two deer seasons and have no complaints. The other thing I like about them is that they keep my ears warm. I'd purchase another pair.
