This is such a superb tire inflator that it is now hard to imagine finding a better one at any price. I did get suckered into trying a cheaper and smaller version by another manufacturer. That experience was a failure on every level so I initially also had muted expectations for this one. But I was literally blown away (just a small pun) by how easily the Avid Power inflator and air compressor got the job done for all four tires on my car. It allowed me to go from 29 to 36 PSI for all four tires in a total of less than four minutes. It has two kinds of power and I used the rechargeable battery. As suggested by the manufacturer, I first charged the battery as it comes only partially charged. To cap it off, this inflator came with a nifty carrying case for all components as well as perhaps the best operating instructions I have ever seen for any power device or tool.

Avid Power Tire Inflator came yesterday (Sunday). Very complete. I will use the battery before I use the 12V adapter because it's easier to maneuver the inflator when its cordless. I plugged in the battery to charge before I did anything, but it was already fully charged right out of the box. I like the long 25 inch air hose. The only thing I don't like is the VERY small On/Unit button which turns on the digital display. The inflator won't turn on with the on/off switch on top of the unit unless you push that little button first and the display lights up. Time will tell if that button lasts. The operating directions are understandable.

Easy to use

This thing is awesome; I am stuck waiting a couple weeks for new tires and this is helping get me through needing to re-air a tired to keep it full so it can be driven in when the new tires are good to go. The battery charges pretty quickly and lasts an impressive amount of time; I have refilled from 15ish psi to 33ish psi five or six times and I haven't checked the battery power indicator but it was still going strong when I used it earlier. It's got rubberized feet and so you can set it down and it won't bounce all over the concrete - it doesn't even budge. It works pretty quickly and has an auto-off when it reaches pressure. The connection at the 90-degree clamp for the tire valve stem is super snug with a rubber gasket and so it transfers air to the tire well. 11/10 could not be happier with having bought this for $65.

One of the best items I have bought. It is easy to use, and I can take it anywhere. The air pressure readout matches the read out on my car perfectly.

I purchased this inflator for emergencies and it is great when it works however only 18 months later and the Lithium Ion battery is completely dead and will not charge. I don't know if I just received a dud battery or if this is pretty typical for this unit. I've used the inflator about four or five times and have tried to keep it charged up so it was ready for any emergency, but it does not seem very reliable.

Needed something I could keep in the car to keep on top of the tires before we drive our kids everywhere for school and sports and life.
