Great taste and quality fish
Cans are smaller than your typical tuna cans but contents are good stuff. Just as tasty as their tuna. With bones and skin, perhaps healthier too.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Wild Planet products, & this salmon is so good.
SO GOOD. I eat it direct from can. It has such a good flavor and texture. I love salmon, but some brands I have to do something with it to make it appetizing (ie salmon patties). But this? nah, I want it as original in form from the can as possible. I love love love it. I also happen to be long time fan of Wild Planet products-- all of them. I buy sardines, and their tuna, and tuna ready to eat meals.. whatever they have I eat it. The salmon though.. it was an impulse purchase. I already have a slew of salmon in my pantry. But I hadnt yet had Wild Planet wild salmon, and OMG I am in love. When I open the can, I note that it has some liquid on top. After I dump it out and separate out the pieces, there really isnt much liquid at all. There may not look like there is much meat in the can, but that is because the pieces are well clumped together. Once I break them apart, the volume expands.Flavor is not fishy. More chicken-esque but not a canned flavor exactly. Fresh tasting all considered. I really like it over a lot of the big can brands. I just love this one so much that I am making myself crave it as I write this review. Will be what I am having for breakfast!!Salty but not too salty. I love having it alongside a bunch of steamed broccoli. I dont add anything to the broccoli and instead use the salmon as the flavoring, for that hint of salty.

Puppy loves it
This is a once a week meal for our 17 lb Papillon. He devours it & as a special treat, gets to lick the can afterward. :-)I don’t care for canned salmon & this definitely has a fishy smell, but he loves it & I am satisfied with the quality of sustainable wild caught salmon.Never consume farm raised salmon!

Great nutrient, dense, convenient food!
I just love these salmon cans! In one can you get almost 40 g of protein! The brand is very reputable, and I trust their processing! I love to make a salmon salad with one can of salmon, a scoop of Greek yogurt, a squeeze of mustard, and one shredded carrot, plus whatever seasonings I’m in the mood for. I also love making easy salmon patties. I use two cans of the salmon, one egg, and whatever seasonings I’m in the mood for. I then form into six patties. These patties are also great for baby lead weaning! They are great for the whole family! My only complaint if they are a bit pricey. But it’s worth it for the value!

A Decent Breakfast
I was looking for an easy breakfast, with a decent amount of protein. I think one can has roughly 36 grams of protein (having 3oz as a serving size). I eat the whole can and find myself decently full in the morning. I warm the salmon on a skillet while preparing some ricecakes with nut butter. It's an easy breakfast that usually fills me up for the morning. On the days I don't eat salmon, I tend to get hungry earlier.I like the taste and that's it is wild caught. I like the convenience of the can. I don't need to thaw fish and cook it thoroughly on the grill, stove, or oven. Salmon is smelly, but that is normal when it comes to most fish. I've ordered this brand two times and have had no issues (thus far). I will continue ordering from this brand because I like that's wild caught, and I think sustainably caught, and it works for me. Other brands tend to have extra flavor or soy added to them. This is just fish and salt. Yes, it is expensive. That is something I am willing to splurge on when it comes to eating.

First time buying this item
After getting a free sample from an order i placed w another company and liking the taste, I googled to see who had it. The price is reasonable, the cans are easy to open and the serving is just enough to fill you up for several hours. As picky eaters, I am happy to say that two of us are now eating it. The taste is not as strong as i thought it would be so i am able to enjoy ,it and it has a semi strong smell. Adding lemon juice reduces the taste and smell somewhat as i continue to learn how to eat it. My son enjoys it in a sandwich ,on a tostada or in a salad. We are glad we bought it and will definitely buy again. I recommend you try it if you haven't.

Glad to find these!
Our supermarket does carry Wild Planet items but not this. SO MUCH easier to cook with. However, I miss the bones. I would tell my Nutrition students that a few bones in your salmon cakes is okay, provides calcium. [I'm also a fan of cast iron frying pans for the iron.]

The product is listed as Wild Alaska Salmon and it is labeled North Pacific!
False product information and I want to return!

Expensive cat food
I have never opened a can of Salmon that looks like this. Wild salmon is naturally pink, this is not. The texture is minced, poor taste. I thought it was supposed to be Wild Alaskan Pink Salmon caught off the shores of Alaska. There is no indication on the can of where this fish even comes from. Pink Salmon with salt produced for Wild Planet Foods Inc. California. The labels do not even cover the height of the can, which would indicate to me it's mass canned for numerous retailers. Huge disappointment, and remember this is a non-returnable item. On the upside, we have four cats.
