I normally ride with either an open-face helmet or a full-face helmet. I normally wear the full face when I'm on my fast bike and prefer the more laid-back appearance and comfort of the open face when on my cruiser. Anyway, I've had a couple large bugs and small rocks whack me in the forehead on my cruiser and so I wanted an open helmet but with a face shield for protection. I also wanted the flip-down visor for sunny conditions.My head measures right around 59cm and most of my helmets are "large" size as a result. The reviews and even the manufacturer suggested to get at least one size larger but the XL was huge on my head and I ended up returning it. The manufacturer was gracious enough to get in touch with me and suggested trying the correct-size helmet and it fits well. It's still a little snug but the pads inside will compress slightly the more I wear it.Anyway, it's a nicely finished, handsome-looking helmet. I really like the ratchet-strap chin-strap (versus normal strap and loop system). Also, I have a very round, Charlie-Brown head and the shape of this helmet works for me. The flip-down visor works easily and is very dark; the shield is crystal clear with no distortion.It seems like for about $70, this is a good option for an open-face helmet with shield and sunshade. I look forward to riding more miles using the helmet. Bravo to the manufacturer for addressing my concerns very quickly and making sure I got the correct size.

The helmet has a clear screen and a smaller tinted screen that comes down over the eyes to around the top of the nose. There is a lever at the left side front screen hinge that controls the tinted screen. The main clear screen is optically clear... no wavy areas. This main screen can be adjusted along its travel and stays secure. The chin strap attaches with a quick connect/release buckle, NO D-RINGS!! Alleluia. There are two small air vents on the top of the helmet, and they can be closed. These vents exhaust at the back of the helmet. The paint job is glossy and professional. The helmet is light (relative to a full face helmet) and very comfortable. I have a 7 3/4 inch head and wear around a 61 cm helmet, and the XL size fits perfectly. An all around excellent helmet. I am looking forward to spending a lot of miles wearing it.

Wonderful helmet. First test run was for a 250 mile round trip on a 2013 Vulcan Voyager 1700. Started out at 35 deg and ended at 65 deg. Most of the time I'm a large half-helmet guy so I was a little worried about feeling like I couldn't breathe.No problems there, the face shield is somewhat bubbled and stayed far enough from my face for breathing without fogging and close enough for protection. I really appreciated the ear piece in the colder weather and it was not to hot when the temp reached 65 deg either.I will say it was a bit tight with the earpiece but as I broke it in everything started fitting better and more comfortably. I've had this happen with other large helmets and as I wore them longer they conformed better.One issue, the tinted shield did not go all the way when I tried to use it. I had to manually pull it down about a 1/4 inch. I still rate the helmet at 5 and will definitely buy another one when the time comes.

I have been extremely happy with the helmet (though I admittedly haven't seen how it holds up in a crash). It fits well and feel the same as helmets that cost upwards of $200. The only issue I have had so far, is the visor rising up when I look over my shoulder to merge at highway speed, but I think that's probably an issue with any jet pilot-style motorcycle helmet.

Excellent helmet. Good oval shape to fit my head, LARGE vision area, snap down sunshade is fantastic - doesn't make things dark, but does make reduce the brightness. Helmet is a bit wind-noisy, and the release strap takes some break-in time - but a very very excellent helmet (my 6th, I've had some very good ones, some not so good ones, and walked out of many stores without buying the ones they had)
