Just installed a new Heat pump and the air handler uses 220 volts / 20 Amp circuit. I needed a shut off switch at the unit and wired in this switch for that purpose. This worked fine. It is a two pole which is what you need to shut off 220Volts as each leg uses 110V so you have to switch two legs instead of just one with a normal 110 circuit. Overall happy with the purchase and I did buy this again (have installed two now).

Not "Silent", but a good switch. If you want a good switch for example, for turning on a bathroom light AND a bathroom fan at the same time, this is a good switch for you. Not silent if that's important to you, (like the "silent" switches of yesteryear) and makes a definite "click" when switching "On" and "Off". Good quality, from a fast shipper. Would buy again.

It works and fits a normal electrical box. It is for Canadian 220 3 wire electrical systems.
