My son has dark brown hair, will i have to bleach before use, to see the color?

Yes unfortunately. If you wish to bleach, be sure to use a blue bleach powder, and only a 20 developer. This will keep the bleach from frying the hair. Keep in for 5 mins at a time at a max time of 15 min and check on it every 5 mins. Let hair rest overnight with some repair treatment to allow the cuticle to heal before treating it with the dye. It’s a hell of a process but this dye worked quite well. Honestly my favorite brand is called “ion” which can be found at your local beauty supply store. Hope this helps in detail. Lol

I've never tried the brand you mention, this worked pretty good, but I too am always keeping my eyes open for a good whitener...

I dye my hair red, can I use this and mix it in with my conditioner or shampoo to help maintain the color?

I mix it with my color extension conditioner and it works great, I shampoo & condition itidiob every 3rd day … dry shampoo in between…
