Weller FD2 Flux Dispenser .020 Needle, Black

It was the cheapest and it works well. Note that I got this for 2.99, not 8.00 from mother vendors. For 8 bucks, I'd pass. It's just a basic plastic bottle with a needle dispenser. So far it doesn't leak. You can get these in off brands and bulk for cheaper per unit, but it was Weller and 3 bucks, so that's why I chose it.

Works great as a micro-oiler!Just the thing for placing a pinhead sized drop of oil into the drive gears of my Lionel 3-rail model locomotive.

Expensive for what it should be if it actually worked.Leaks everywhere except the tip. Plastic cracks incredibly easy. Broke the first time I used it in two places.Probably a cheap knockoff with a Weller label.

The end cap for this goes on the tapered end of the plastic bottle cap, when the needle's not on it. And I guess you're supposed to leave the needle off until you want to use it, and then clean it and put it away after. I left it unopened in the package.

pricey for what it is, but that's the name. And with using their own flux in it, with a lite squeeze of the bottle, more flux comes out the joints than the end of the needle , small mess. tried reassembly of the tips, looking for flashing, it's clean, just flux coming out the path of least resistance.

The needle is fine and is able to place flux in the exact place you want it. The weller logo is really just a sticker, it will make an irritating crackling sound until you peel it off and toss it in the garbage.
