Really cute and nice quality. I didn't receive chalk in it like the description said, but that's okay.

This is absolutely horrible! I ordered it as a Christmas gift, and when it arrived to me, I saw that the packaging (the actual product package, not the box it was shipped in) was torn up a bit on the side, so I opened to see if the item wasn't sitting in the package correctly or what. As it turns out, the slate strip that is supposed to slide in and out ("for easy clean up"), was wedged in hard and didn't even fit all the way -- it stuck out about 3/4" out the end, and wasn't going to budge a bit further. I tried to pull it out (to maybe slide it in a different way), but it was completely stuck. Who does that? The worker at the plant clearly saw that the slate piece was not going to fit, but he/she boxed it up and sent it on its way anyway. I'M FURIOUS! Thanks for ruining a Christmas gift. Oh, and it didn't include the soapstone chalk that it claimed to, either. Given the tight fit of the packaging, I don't see how there would have been room for it, so I wouldn't expect to receive the chalk if you're still willing to take a chance on this horrible product.

The slate, which is advertised to be removable, is not on the unit that I received. The workmanship appears sub-par. Would not recommend purchasing. I intend to return mine.
