Great Hori Substitute! A few extra steps may be needed to make application process easier
Was initially pretty skeptical of this product given some of the reviews I've read were about how difficult the application was, but I just finished applying mine and I'm pretty satisfied! Didn't even have to use the second set it came with.I used this on my old 3DS XL model, and to whoever says it only fits the New 3DS XL is wrong, because mine fit quite perfectly so I believe its for both. If your screen was already in rough condition before with a lot of scratches or deep ones, it'll probably make applying it way harder and leave inevitable air bubbles, so that's not really the fault in the product itself. The top screen feels nice and sturdy, and the bottom screen protector is thin enough to not hinder the touchscreen detection, but its good enough to protect it from scratches. I've also seen a lot of complaints about the bottom screen protector not fitting completely, but I believe it was designed to have small gaps due to the bottom screen itself having raised edges. This would mean it would be difficult to peel it off if you wanted to remove it.Some helpful tips I have to make the application easier is before actually peeling off the back sticker, align the screen protector how you want it, then place a long enough piece of scotch tape along the top of the screen protector and the outside edge of the screen. This helps the screen protector stay in place while you lift the opposite side and peel off the backing. If you do this right, it should lay itself the way you originally placed it. Also, if you're having issues with getting dust out, I highly recommend using a compressed air can to gently blow any leftover bits out right before you apply it.Doing all this, mine turned out near perfect I'd say. I unfortunately had a bit of dust stuck underneath my touchscreen protector, which left a small air bubble, but the adhesion of the product is pretty good because all of them basically go away after awhile. You could also gently rub at the area with cloth to speed it up. The tiny piece of dust is still there for me, but its hardly noticeable, and the pesky air bubbles are all gone at least! The only negative I have to say about this product really is probably the blue electrostatic sticker it came with. BE WARY WHEN USING IT, especially on the touchscreen. It's extremely sticky and almost feels like you're about to pull the screen off, so I recommend just using a microfiber cloth and an air duster to get any dust out.

Great protection, near-complete package
So since the Hori screen protectors have been discontinued, I've been looking for a good substitute. I want to clear the air about these because I think some of the negative reviews here are a bit misinformed.First, this is for the New 3DS XL screens. It won't fit other models. Second, the condition of your screens makes a big difference in how ANY screen protector goes on, including these. New or near mint screens like mine that have been cleaned are going to be easier because nothing will get trapped under there. Third, the bottom screen protector IS a little smaller than the screen, as I see some people saying. This is a GOOD thing. If you look at the touch screen, it's sunken in with like a raised edge, see that? If the protector was cut perfectly, you'd never be able to get it off because of that edge. The top protector is cut to size because it doesn't have that edge.Having said that, if you line up the bottom protector with any of the sides of the screen, the opposite side will have a noticeable gap, probably 2mm. What you want to do is carefully lay it down so that you split the difference and have a little gap on all sides. You won't notice it while playing and you can pull the protector off if you need to. This is easily the hardest part of applying this screen protector, but I don't know if it would be different with any other brand. As for air bubbles and application, I used the cleaning supplies included and took my time. Both screens went on easily with only one small bubble each. Both of those bubbles disappeared after a little while. Just rub them out towards the edges of the screen.Overall, this is a really good product if you take your time. They include two sets of protectors in case you mess up, which is great. My only real criticism is that this set absolutely REQUIRES a good microfiber cloth to clean the screens, get rid of dust, and wipe off the cleaning solution. It's a big oversight that they didn't include one, so you just have to use your own. That's my only gripe.

Some of the best screen protectors you'll find for your 3DS
Although the packaging shows an iPhone, these are in-fact for the 3DS XL/N3DS XLYou receive four screen protectors in the packaging. Two PET film screen protectors for the touch screen, and two tempered glass screen protectors for the top screen. The PET screen protectors are your standard 3DS touch screen protector. Nice and clear. They're cut a BIT small but I've yet to find a brand that isn't cut slightly smaller than the actual touch screen. The top screen protectors are where these triumph over other brands. These are made out of tempered glass instead of PET, meaning they provide a far better experience. Tempered glass screen protectors are easier to apply and provide better light transmission than PET and as a result, you lose none of the crispness of the 3DS screen. The 3D effect is left 100% intact and looks amazing. The biggest issue with the top screen protector is that they're cut near perfectly, and as a result of them being hard glass instead of a plastic film, if you misalign it you'll land on the bezel around the screen and it wont apply properly. As a result, you need to be careful to align it properly when applying it or else you may end up with a corner that's slightly too far over to apply properly. I actually had this issue initially but was able to carefully remove and reapply it.
