Q: I see contrary remarks about microphone use. Can I plug a couple of mics and guitar or not?

This unit has four 1/4 inch mono/stereo inputs and one 1/4 inch stereo output. It does NOT have phantom power. There is a pre-amp in the unit that will power a headset or connect to an external amplifier. If your mics have 1/4 inch plugs, your set-up should work OK without additional equipment. If your mics have three-prong plugs, you might want to find a mixer that does have phantom power on at least two of the inputs (but not all). That would accommodate both instrument and vocal without more equipment or connections (which is why there are contrary remarks). Hope this helps.

Q: Where should i connect the gnd to?

I never connected...no noise, shock or weir stuff...without that connexion. I make my self the same question, and i have no idea ...sorry☺☺☺✌👍🙏🤝

You can connect it to the mic or headphone jack on your computer if it has them. Which one depends if you want the mixer on the input or output side. The USB is only to power the mixer. It does not interface with a computer. If you want a mixer that connects via USB, this is not the correct choice.

No. There are 4 quarter inch mono/stereo inputs and one audio output. No phantom power.
