I don't believe it is wholemeal but it does look very similar to some brands of wholemeal. It makes a very nice loaf

I would think the flour is not bleached...otherwise it won't be brown. Haven't used it yet, and so can't tell you how good it is. I bake in a Panasonic bread maker which is highly recommended.
