Helps cool and works in tight spaces
Installed on the transmission cooler of 2001 Dodge Ram Diesel with the Cummins Engine. Yes it fits up high behind the grille. Yes it helps especially when stopped in traffic, but doesn't help a lot. Wish these moved a lot more air but at least it helps.

Great little fan for the price
I have a turbo Silverado that I've had to relocate the transmission cooler to behind the bumper. I was experiencing high temps in the transmission until installing two of these fans across my 40k cooler. It provides plenty of airflow despite the small size of these fans and keeps my built 4L65E at a good temp.

Doesn't move much air and doesn't come with instructions.

Nice little fan at a great price
Like many have apparently done, I bought these to cool the engine compartment in a mini-excavator. I installed two of them in a push/pull configuration; one runs anytime the battery disconnect is on and the other I can kick on as needed with a toggle switch. I think running two continuously will exceed the capacity of the charging circuit, so only one is full time. These installed easily and they seem to move plenty of air for a small (I got the 7") fan.To address what some have said about not being a true push/pull...you must flip the fan blade AND reverse polarity to reverse the direction and get full air flow. Like most fan blades, these are cupped for greater efficiency, and the blade moves far more air off the cupped side than the other. So reversing rotation is not enough, you must flip the blade too. It's easy; one nut and flip it over. That's what I did on my mini-ex; I mounted both fans inside the engine compartment, the right one blowing in and the left one blowing out, so it will remove the engine heat and pull air across the hydraulic pump. This made a big different in the temperature of the engine compartment.Time will tell how they hold up. If I have any issues, I will update my review.
