Marmot Footprint for Crane Creek Tent

I recently purchased the Marmot Crane Creek 2P tent and matching Footprint for use in an overnight camp to replace some obsolete gear. Camp site was Jumbo Rock in Joshua Tree National Park in California. Bottom line, after a single night there was already a hole in the material. I thought I paid enough attention to clear my spot of debris, but I guess something managed to poke through. Hard to get everything though as all the sites are basically all tiny rocks, sand, and gravel. The tent appears to be ok.For its price I expected the material to be tougher. As it is, there's almost no sense getting this, you're almost better off buying a separate tarp. And since the material just lies flat on the ground anyway, there's little reason to think it will actually do any blocking of water if the ground was actually getting wet from rain. I suppose it would provide some cover if the ground was damp, but that's about it. It's pretty flimsy.And maybe that's it. It's just light and flimsy. If you want real protection from the ground buy something a little cheaper and heavier duty.

I honestly don’t know what everyone is on about saying this footprint doesn’t fit. I got the one for the 3-person ultralight backpacking tent and it fit as expected without issue. It felt like a footprint should, to me at least. It kept the bottom of the tent clean and no rocks or sticks tore anything. It did what a footprint should do. I just wish it had come WITH the tent.

When you set up the tent, you can only use the buckle for either the fly OR the footprint. Not really sure why the tent doesn't support both. Overall, this tent/footprint should come together, especially for the price. The size is definitely more for 2 people especially if you want your gear inside.

Paper thin and does not line up with the tent! What is the point?! No info on what dimensions should be or any other helpful info on Amazon or Marmot. Save your $$$

Haven't tested it out yet.Pros:-Exact fit for Marmot's Crane Creek 2 person tent.-Corner straps have grommets and clips that clip on to rain fly.Cons:-Pricey! pricer than the 3 person! I called Amazon and they said its priced based on demand! what a rip off!-Not a tarp, but material looks durable.Other notes:Wrong product information on amazon. Actual size is 82 x 46 inches. Tent base size is 88 x x 50 inches. It is the perfect product but not at this price. Im looking for alternatives at a lower price.

Pairs perfectly with the Crane Creek 2 standard tent and is quality made. Happy to have that added protection out on the trail now.Update: I have recently purchased the crane creek 2 UL tent and thought based on what I saw here, this footprint would also pair beautifully with the new tent. Well unfortunately it does not. It is not the same size therefore the tent frame does not fit perfectly into the holes in the corners nor does the Crane Creek 2 UL tent have the buckles to quickly and easily clipt together securing the tent to the footprint.It will work for protection but is a bit of a pain to use with the UL 2.

La verdad sin saber agregue este producto a la compra cuando compre la casa. yo creía que era la parte que cubría la casa (lo cual ya viene integrado con la casa), lo bueno de comprarlo es que tiene su bolsista y ayuda mucho a que no se ensucie la casa de campaña, es un aislamiento extra muy bueno, por otro lado tiene la ventaja que las esquinas están hechas para encajar con la casa por lo tanto fue muy bueno tener todo el kit completo.

Sencilla pero cumple su función. Los materiales y acabados son los correctos

This tent is wonderful, easy setup, poles are very strong. Material is light but hardy. I left it outside in a wet snowstorm, and it flattened out. When I shook the snow off it stood right up with no damage, and everything inside was dry.
