After 3 years of use, still a very good flashlight
I bought a pair of these in 2021, done at the same time I bought a pair of another brand. These I keep track of and use—the other ones?—I don't know where they are.... The various lights and modes on these are very convenient, and for its size, they are very bright—easily a couple orders of magnitude brighter than the old-fashioned penlights (old light*10*10). They are sturdy, and each of mine has been dropped, stored in cars, and so on. They are small enough to keep handy, and bright enough that I don't use them only to find the big lights. The single button push to turn them off is a must-have feature. I have more expensive lights that require cycling through the modes to turn off, and each and every time I must do that, it is annoying. Also, the current price is only a few dollars more than the 2021 price. They are the first lights I grab when the lights go out. I use them to find whatever else is needed and then leave them on as long as needed. However, I don't leave lights on when not needed, so I don't know how many hours they can last in the various modes. At some point even the good batteries will deplete.... The sidelight is, by the way, very useful. I've several times set them on a shelf and lit a room to useful brightness or gotten them a little closer and spent a pleasant night reading where otherwise it was dark. The magnetic bottom is useful. I didn't think it would be, but it has been. And yes, the supplied batteries are weak, and the flashlight will malfunction in odd ways as the original batteries fail. And this as-supplied battery failure can happen quickly, in months or weeks. BUT a good, name brand pair of 18650 batteries can cost $15-$20. (Samsung, Sony, Panasonic, etc.) At the time, I could not tell if the problem was the flashlight or the batteries, but my guess was that the light had to have been, by far, the largest part of the manufacturing cost. And as I could see the included batteries were no-names, I took a chance and ordered good batteries. That was the right decision. So the batteries supplied in the lights are not so much, but in my opinion, the lights without batteries are worth more than the entire original price. You might keep in mind that the charging port cover can get pulled out and then be hard to find as they will slip into the damndest places. And I’ve never water-tested them other than to be in the rain. Still, to me, these little lights have been an excellent value. So much so, that it pleases me to be able to write this review. There is so much junk for sale everywhere, almost all of it masquerading as the good stuff, that when something good comes along, I am happy to put in a good word. I’m sure these won’t last forever, but three years is significant. From what I see in the current Amazon ad, they haven't changed, and I hope that is the case and that anyone can have a high quality, inexpensive set of flashlights. By the way, I see other lights out there that look just like mine. I cannot say how they will work. This current ad is for the brand that I bought in 2021.

These are great!
Over the past few years, I've bought probably 8 or 10 of these flashlights. For the price, they're great! Especially when you factor in that you get 2. They are rechargeable, which is awesome. The magnet is strong...they've been used many, many times for working on my car. The black light works really well for what I use it for, which is mainly finding uranium glass. The longevity of this item is not so great. Or maybe I just use mine more than other people might. The same problem has occurred in every single one: after awhile, even though I know the battery is full or almost full, it will blink red indicating it needs charged. I usually have to whack my hand on it and rescrew in the end. 95% of the time that fixes it the first time. The nice thing about these are that the batteries are interchangeable, so when one flashlight dies, I can still use them in another.I do wish that these come with a wrist lanyard. They have a place for it. It also has a thing that you can use to attach to your belt.Overall, I recommend this product. In spite of the issues I mentioned, the price alone makes them worthwhile. I have no problem replacing them after a couple years, especially as much as I use them.

Magnetic base, side window & able to run on a power bank are great features
I've had this flashlight for only a couple of days and purchased it primarily for the UV feature. I haven't made serious use of the UV feature yet.The bad news is that the 18650 batteries that come with the flashlight are super-generic. One other reviewer says they are bad batteries and I'm not surprised, because the entire flashlight costs not much more than a good 18650 battery. I've already invested in good 18650 batteries and I'll probably make the swap if and when I use this as a flashlight.But...I also confirmed that you can remove the battery and run this flashlight off a powerbank. Also,it has a really interesting side window that puts out both steady and flashing light. So combined with a power bank, it can provide great emergencu lighting, both at home attached t the refrigerator or on the road attached to the metal body of your car. With a largecapacity power bank it can keep going, and going, just like the Energizer bunny. You have to cycle through the modes that use the front bulb to get to the modes that use the side window. There are three of those, a white light, a red light, and a flashing light that alternates rapidly between white and red. The button you use to cycle through these modes is right above the window, so it's nature to cycle through them with the window facing you. Face the window away from you or you'll blind yourself. The light coming through the side window is really, really bright. In summary, I own better quality flashlights than this, but this has unique features that make it uniquely versatile. I would not be happy with it as my only flashlight. But if you alredy have a small collection of good flashlights, batteries and a power bank, it's a great addition.
