Bulbs are bright, but the output does not have the brightness you might be looking for.
As stated, Bulbs are bright, but, the overall brightness goes down as it spreads out. Enough to see, but not enough to really do anything that requires light. I purchased them for what it is intended to do. Keep the insects less attracted to the light.

Does not attract bugs
The orange light actually isn't as blinding, so I can see better. I walk through my front door without fear of letting bugs in.

No bugs!
I bought these to replace yellow bug lights I bought at a local retailer that actually seemed to attract bugs. With these lights I'm not seeing any bugs around the light at all. The description of being "yellow amber" is fairly accurate. Most bug lights I bought in the past were truly yellow. These are closer to an orange and are darker than other bulbs. So, they keep away bugs and provide a little light in the area.
