Pterostilbene 100mg Capsules (Third Party Tested) Made in The USA, 60 Capsules, Superior to Resveratrol (Antioxidant, Anti Aging Support Supplement) by Double Wood Supplements

The previous brand was 50mg and a larger capsule. So happy this is 100 mg and easier to swallow. Have to only take 1 a day instead of 2.

I purchased this after getting a tip about NMN and resveratrol, then researching myself to find that is supposedly better than resveratrol. On the first occasion I took this, there was some momentary clarity/ clear thinking think about a hour or two. But nothing what a strong coffee couldn't do. However what followed was extructiating stomach pains, that last the whole day and next. In fact the intensity of the stomach pain subsided (bearable but where I felt like I may or may not throw up) but last for several days after (Note I did not take NMN at the same time). Just to be sure it wasn't something else I ate, I took another tablet a few weeks after, ensuring I did not take any other supplements, and again terrible stomach pains for several days. Maybe it works for others but for me personally I would not touch this stuff again. I am sitting here seriously thinking I may need to see my doctor or hospital!

Like many, before I decide adding a supplement to my diet, I first look into all the available research I can find, and if it has promise, then I add it to my diet. What I don't do, is wait for completely settled science, because that often takes years and I don't have years to wait to find out if something beneficial I could've added to my diet works. So once Ive personally satisfied myself there's enough evidence to consider adding a supplement to my diet, and I can afford it, then that's enough for me. In my view Pterostilbene is a must addition to a daily supplemental regiment for a number of reasons. Pterostilbene shares many of the benefits of Resveratrol, but it also like Resveratrol, has its own unique benefits. Pterostilbene is a double-methylated version of Reseveratrol, but it has a higher bioavailable rating which means you can achieve beneficial results at lower dosages. I decided to take Pterostilbene for all of its beneficial properties such as cancer prevention, increased insulin sensitivity (I have type 2 diabetes), maintaining a healthy heart, and most importantly as a baby-boomer, to help maintain cognitive function in my later years, and thus far it appears to be working. I've especially noticed some improvement in my A1C levels which at one point had reached 7. A few years ago I decided to stop taking supplements to see if they were really making a difference, and after several months I began to notice a decline in a number of areas, but especially in my A1C levels. So I began taking supplements again and not only do I feel mentally sharper but my A1C levels are once again in a healthy normal range. So yes supplements make a difference!According to the National Center for Biotechnology Information, "Low-dose pterostilbene, but not resveratrol, is a potent neuromodulator in aging and Alzheimer's disease."After making several comparisons of the different Pterostilbene distributors, I decided to go with Double Wood Supplements for three reasons, the capsules come in 100 mg doses which I've decided is right for me, it's in a price point that suits my budget, and the reputation of Double Wood Supplements give me confidence that I'm getting what I'm paying for. High-quality ingredients with a proven dose for a new and surprisingly useful supplement.I purchased the Pterostilbene for my wife and myself. The reason I choose Doublewood Supplements was almost solely for the CoA which helped reassure me that I was receiving a high-quality product.I choose Pterostilbene over Resveratrol because there are numerous studies showing it is MUCH more bioavailable than Resveratrol, with at least 10x great bioavailability.The pill was small and easy to take with no taste or flavor at all. Studies have been done showing 250mg / dose is the ideal dose, so I appreciate them using that dose.It appears to have certainly really did activate sirtuins for both of us. Sirtuins are your body's natural ability to remove dead cells that are no longer in use can that can not be repaired. Sirtuin activation was assumed because it appeared to help clear up an abnormal tissue biopsy and helped heal GI damage. Specifically it helped heal / repair the stomach lining when used in combination with Glutamin, GiaBio Protectis probiotic (L. Reuteri), and NMN. My wife's stomach lining had damage due to inflammation caused by an H. Pylori and parasite infection.I do wish you offered smaller quantities so it would be easier to test your supplements without paying for 60 capsules.Or If there was some sort of small combo pack you could offer or allow customers to build. So, for example, an option that would allow customers the choice of 30 capsules of X and 30 capsules of Y for the same price as 60 of them. You could even charge a small fee for this, for example: added cost $1 or $2 to the crub more for each combo of 60 capsules.

I take this product twice a week with an NMN supplement. I don't know which of the two pills do it, but I have to take them in the morning because I do get a certain pep after ingesting them. Not like from caffeine pills... it feels more natural. Nothing intense, just a slight boost in energy (I'm open to believing that the effect is all in my mind, btw). Anyway, resveratrol, which does wonders for rats and mice in laboratory studies, gets metabolized to practical uselessness when ingested orally so I take this product which is akin to resveratrol with the added advantage that it is more bioavailable. I don't take it with any of the recommended doses I see on the bottle or read about in the press; I'm not going to do that until there are further scientific studies that show it can be truly helpful.

I always appreciate knowing what is going on with reviews so there it is.First off let me say that this product is beyond good! I can completely 100% tell a difference when I am on it. I use this and it helps with my focus and clears all of the brain fog, it has also decreased my inflammation and leaves me with a steady flow of energy. I notice decreased joint pain and aches also so for me it is a total win.I take one every morning and if I have a grueling day an additional one after lunch helps to get me through without melting down.
