Ilusion2637 - Lace Trim Bloomer Slip

I can honestly say I haven't had comfortable underwear for about 4 years. Lets face it, I'm ROUND, so if it didn't cut into my waist, it would ride up my leg when I walked or it was made to squash all the chubby into a sleek tube (only to end up pushing out both ends like muffin tops). I wanted something to wear under a dress or loose pants and FINALLY these are here. The material is a cotton blend so its doesn't stick you the way nylon does. The leg is long enough that it doesn't roll up into your crotch when you sit down. And they fit the curves without a tight elastic waistband or cutting off circulation. The only con is that the seam where the lace is sewn onto the leg shows when you are sitting down, but I can live with that. If you want some material between your thighs, without the rolling, riding, sweating experience you get with spanx-type underwear, girl, this is it.

I LOVE these pettipants - I was in between sizes in hip measurement so chose a size large, however I'm an older woman with lumps and bumps and wanted to wear with straight but loose dresses & skirts, and some boho styles so it worked out best for me.One day I went out wearing my usual nylon slip on a hot day with an all cotton empire waist dress and the slip rode up and stuck to me, no fun at all. It felt like I had a giant self stick postage stamp stuck to my butt - had to reach under and try to pull the slip down right then and there - and I was never going to have THAT happen again so I tried these Pettipants which work wonderfully and because they loosely skim the body, substitute for half slip perfectly. I have not had thigh rub with these, nor a problem in the bathroom adjusting them, as with a slip.They're GREAT and if I must bend over there may be a peep of lace but that's fine with me (more colors please!)I now have white and beige and getting the black soon as I finish this review They do shrink some when washed but quickly adjust to body with wear - so for some women depending on the type of fit you want for what you are wearing it with you may want to size down - or up as I did, if you are between sizes. I am petite so mine skim the kneecap. I have worn mine around the house when I get home, comfy in bed with a book. The elastic is very comfortable, with a lot of give and it is easy to forget this garment is on. The tag says they are 50/50 cotton/poly. I could wish they were 60 cotton/40 poly as clothing items used to most often be, but even so this breathes better and feels better than all poly. These might be nice in a longer 22" length, and as others have mentioned more colors, perhaps chocolate and peach! I think these are fine for 3 season wear. Made well enough, these come from Mexico.UPDATE: I bought black same size in 2016 and they fit and felt as nice as white and beighe I purchased BUT when I purchased another black pair after 2020 the elastic was tighter and stretched between fingers- inferior. They were easily a size SMALLER. Tight though I still wear the same size. SAME SIZE (and label verified it was the L size; and also made in Mexico so country of origin hadn't changed. I'm afraid to buy more in ANY color due to this resizing though I was so happy with my first purchases of the brand.

I've tried many tap pants, bloomers, slips etc. but this pair is the best yet. The comfy cotton material has just the right amount of stretch, not too snug a fit, not too loose. I wore them on vacation under a sporty dress. We ended up going for a walk, that turned into more of a hike. Unlike Spanx, or other stretchy garments, these bloomers let my body breathe, and the legs never rolled up or crawled up on me. I was sweaty and hot by the end of the walk, but no chafing! Now I can wear more sun dresses and stay cooler all summer. I ordered the XL, I'm a size 18W.

I ordered these to wear under a white dress for a historical costume. I ordered the extra large and they fit just a bit looser than spandex bike shorts. I had to wear a regular slip anyway. That said, they are well made and the fabric is comfortable, so I wore them as... well, chafe-preventers, if you know what I mean. And I'll probably continue to wear them for that purpose under skirts. A case of not knowing you needed something until you got it!

Silky pettipants tend to smell when you are exerting yourself, but these are just wonderful. If you have fat thighs like me, wearing dresses in hot weather is problematic, even if you wear pantyhose. Your thighs can rub till you are bleeding. But these make it really nice and comfortable, and even fit under regular pants. They don't slip and slide like the silky ones do, but they feel better to me, and smell a whole lot better.

If your thighs rub together in hot weather but you don’t want a tight ‘spanx-type’ shaper, these are a nice alternative to wear with flowy skirts and dresses. Size up if you don’t want them tight. Consider two sizes up if want them more flowy.

I love these pettipants. They are comfortable, perfect for summer as they are cool and also wide enough for us curvier women. I use them under white cotton long pants in summer and under dresses. No thigh rub and coverage under see through clothes as well. Good price. I have no complaints and would recommend.

It would’ve been fine but it wasn’t what I expected. I thought that it would be silky. I probably didn’t read the material it was made of. It was cotton. I had bought a light weight summer jumpsuit. Every pair of panties I tried would show through one way or another. Not wearing underwear wasn’t an option for me with this material. These were more like granny panties instead of a silky slip. It would’ve been fine it wasn’t what I expected. I thought that it would be silky. I probably didn’t read the material it was made of. It was cotton so I had brought a jumpsuit that I couldn’t find any underwear that wouldn’t show. Not wearing underwear wasn’t an option for me with this material. I tried this but it just was more like granny panties instead of a silky slip.

I ordered these in beige and they were perfect, so I decided to get a couple more, only in black this time. I got the same size as I did before only they are too small!! Super disappointed. When they fit, they are great. But why do they fit differently when ordered in a different colour? Anyways, beige ones I ordered an XL and I'm an 18/20, they fit great. The black ones in XL fit more like a size 16.

La tela es excelente, muy suave. Lo único es que es muy largo, en vestidos justo a la rodilla puede notarse un poco, nada que no se pueda arreglar
