Wonderful kit folks. I would only suggest that you youtube it before using. All tools needed are included. Wife nagged me for about a decade before I finally gave in (boomer here). The screen will tighten by itself as you go along fitting in the spline. I did cut out excess once I had it in place prior to starting to insert the spline. I left about 3" all around. Used masking tape to keep the frame in place. That is a key issue. Hope this is helpful.

I just replaced the screen on my sliding door and this product worked perfectly. The fit was spot on and the whole process took less than 30 minutes from start to finish. Worked perfectly. It looked a little loose after using the groove tool, but pulled tight with the other side of the tool on the final pass. For some reason it came with a metal and a plastic tool, and didn't specify which to use. I used the plastic one since I thought there was less chance in cutting the screen, and it worked just fine. It came with everything needed except for knee pads since I was working on the floor. I will keep the tools and extra rubber stripping for the next time and just order a screen.I would definitely buy this again.

Has everything you need to do the job. I thought the spline was a bit big for my job, forcing the spline into the door channels with the enclosed tool was the the worst part. Could just be a technique thing and me so...

Was able to install screen rather easily. It has a nice feel and the wrinkles/creases were eliminated when rolling the seam tight. It fit my standard sliding screen door with extra on both edges. It is thick enough that my 30lbs dog can stand up against it and it hasn’t torn or sagged yet. It’s dark color screen but can easily see through and looks nice.

This set is perfect for repairing my screens at home for a fraction of the cost that repair shops charge. It's definitely better than replacing my screens too. After using the included tools, you can't tell that it was done at home. It is very thick and fits each screen that needs to be replaced or patched. So it looks very professional and neat. This is a great product for the DIY.

A large dog thought it would be funny to forgo his usual entry/exit point and launch himself through the screened in porch instead. I was not amused, but he seemed to think it was a good trick. It was my first time attempting screen repair and I’m glad I ordered this set. It came with illustrated instructions, plenty of material, and the tools I needed. Now it looks good as new & I’m happy with how it turned out. I’d definitely recommend this to anyone looking to DIY it.
