Controls my wife’s gas
I was tired of smelling my wife every night in bed. Decided to give this a try and I don’t think my lungs have ever smelled clean air before.

Use less propane
Unlike those cheap blue ones, this is a good fan.It is more powerful and the 2-each 'D' batteries lasted 6 weeks. The very first day I put the fan in the propane refrigerator, the temperature dropped 4 degrees. This means I was able to lower the thermostat setting and thus save on propane usage. That is, I can maintain 36 F in the refrigerator and 0 F in the freezer with a lower setting, thus save on the amount of propane needed to maintain this temperature. This is a great fan for this purpose. Also, be sure to monitor the temperature in your refrigerator and freezer to keep it at safe temperatures for food, i.e. under 40 F for the frig and 0 F for the freezer. I like this wireless unit available here on Amazon, "AcuRite 00515M" for $35. I checked it against a calibrated thermometer and it was within 2 degrees F, which is good.

Jury is In...
It looks, feels and sounds perfect. One question: Shouldn’t you be able to feel at least a slight breeze coming from the fan... how can it circulate air without that feature?I’ll try it out next week and see if it’s effective. If so, I’ll bump my rating up to a 4 or 5, if not, I’ll drop it to a 1 and try to return it. To be continued...Update: The fan does what it’s supposed to do, it circulates the air nicely and very quietly. The quality and solid feel are a considerable improvement over the other guy’s ‘blue one‘... glad I switched!

This is for RV ammonia-cycle RV refrigerators
This is a much better alternative to the crappy Camco and Valterra fans. This one is study, has a switch, and has side and bottom air intakes. As expected, it provides just enough circulation to enable non-motorized camper refrigerators to cool evenly.

Seems to be working for our needs
I have one of these in our RV and they work great. I actually bought this for my inside refrigerator. Because of Covid, I am buying from Costco instacart, and have my fridge loaded with more product than usual. I found my food freezing. I remembered my little fan in the rv, so I got this. My only problem is in the RV the shelves are just metal coated bars not glass, so it allows better air flow. So, I put this on the door, and even though it’s not ideal, it seems to be working! Well worth the money spent to save the food.

Higher Air Flow than I was Expecting
I purchased this fan to provide a temporary fix for my home LG refrigerator. The air circulating fan in the fridge failed and the refrigerator and freezer temperatures cooled slowly and fluctuated widely without air flow. Since it takes quite some time these days to get a service tech out to fix the problem, I purchased this fan to see if it could help stabilize the fridge until repairs can be made. I fabricated a cardboard shroud to fit over the air filter outlet in the refrigerator section (see photo). This has worked fairly well and has made the fridge useful while I wait on a service call. After reading the reviews of this fan I was expecting a fairly anemic air flow but was pleasantly surprised to find that the fan puts out a good deal of air and you can definitely feel the flow when the fridge door is opened.I have an RV but have not had a severe enough issue with items freezing in the refer section to think about how to solve it. I am looking forward to giving the fan a try once I get the home refrigerator repaired.I've only had the fan in service a few days so I can't comment on battery or fan life but I am expecting that they won't be significant issues.

Broke quickly, returned.
I put fresh batteries in my new fridge fan and stuck it in the back of the fridge. I could tell it was working without opening the fridge because it was noisy. After a couple of weeks, when I had gotten used to the noise, it was quiet again. The fan had conked out. I tested the batteries and they were still fine, so I returned the fan. Bummer.

Does not do the job.
Although the unit appears like a quality item, we were greatly disappointed with it’s performance. We just returned from 6 days in the Sierras, and we found ice in all the tupperwares and the lettuce was frozen. Did not do the job!

Great little fan for our motorhome fridge
We have had issues with the rear of the fridge icing up and freezing salad foods etc that get too close to the back. This fan sits in the fridge and circulates the air to even out the temperature. We use rechargeable D cells, which typically last about 3 days before recharging.
