Cricut Maker 3

I bought this product to use for my small business. I have zero prior knowledge of cutting machines and figured this would be one of the better affordable options. I receive this fairly fast. I first made wedding invitations using the pen writing feature for a friend to test it out. It took me 4 hours to get this thing to outline 3 invitations because it wouldn't work properly ( I had it directly plugged into my laptop). So I automatically assumed it was broke because it was loading the paper, registering for a second, and freezing. My husband thought it was ridiculous to spend the money I did on this thing so I wasn't about to give up.... long story short. It was my laptops USB connector that is messed up and it wouldn't connect properly. I found this out when I connected it via Bluetooth and I have yet to have another issue. ATM I have had it for 3 weeks and have printed over 200 mini vinyl clothing labels and its worked great. I will warn you after several vinyl prints I noticed the upper right corner from inches 8 to 12 tend to not cut through as well, but overall it is a great product, quick to learn, and easy to use once you know what your doing. Would highly recommend.

It’s brilliant and a great upgrade on the previous model. Brilliant for all types of vinyl and software and cricut support is brilliant.

I LOVE it! What an amazing piece of kit! I was so nervous buying it (will I use it, is it worth the money) and I am thrilled I have!! I have made loads of cards, felt flowers, designed my own projects and got totally absorbed by it. The downside is You do need to have a lot of the cutters and these can be expensive to purchase as they don’t come with it. Even though it accepts smart materials mats are also very handy! Everyone who comes to boat ends up wanting to use it and we now have one at work. Super easy to use, very quick cutting and lots of accessories for fun projects! Love it!!

Set up took a minute and I straight away managed to do a demo cut. This took minutes or less. It does exactly what you want done with superb precision. It's a solid machine which at present works amazingly. Colour is nice and it's huge so you can print large pieces. These are pricey but they work amazingly fast. Highly recommend for all.

This is a large cricut machine and needs quite a bit of space to use, do bear that in mind. Other than that it's a brilliant piece of equipment. I have managed to use it on multiple types of vinyl so far. No problem at all. I did spend a couple of weeks reading information, watching YouTube clips and joined some Facebook groups. I would suggest doing so before you buy just to make sure it's what your looking for. As smaller cheaper versions are available. Software not compatible with Chromebook but I use on my tablet, with no problems at all and have had others day they use their phones too. Although that would be fiddly if doing small details. There doesn't seem to be a free hand draw option in the design space. So need to use another app or pp rogram and the upload to designspace. Easily done after watching a how to clip.

Bought this machine to be a general purpose tool for the family and to try to get the kids interested in "computer aided manufacturing" (my eldest daughter, 8, loves weeding the materials and is already very good at it!). We've made cards, table lamps, stickers, mugs, water bottles and quite a few t-shirts - I'm personally really enjoying making custom t-shirts for the family! I probably went a bit overkill on the Maker 3, and perhaps we could have bought one of the cheaper models, but I wanted the future option of cutting thin wood sheets and leather etc (we've not bought the knife blade yet). It's true that the Cricut branded stuff is pretty expensive, but there's nothing stopping you using 3rd party blades and materials - just try some and see how they perform, I've had a few hits and misses. I do find the Cricut products very good though. I found the "YRYM HT PU Heat Transfer Vinyl HTV Bundle 42 Pack" (on Amazon) really good, and used in all the T-Shirts pictured (along side some other products like glitter vinyl). I should mention, maybe I'm paranoid?, that keeping a blade especially for High Temperature Vinyl (HTV) makes it last way longer. I have older blades that I use for exclusively paper/card as I found that cutting card caused the vinyl cuts not to be quite as good. In short, we've had the Maker for abut 8 months now and I don't regret it! It's fun and very useful.

This works really well. I haven't tried most of the materials it can cut but those I have were perfect. It's been better than my last machine and I'm enjoying it. I wish there was more done for our English taste in the projects and cards; maybe there will be as more of us use Cricuts.

It arrived in just 2 weeks at a good price compared to local stores😍 Advice for anyone looking to buy a Cricut for a small business is to get this machine from the start, the creativity is truly limitless 😍 I got the Joy Extra 4 months ago, it's great too but it doesn't compare to the maker 3.
