They aren't powered; they work on gravity feed of the smoke from the incense burning...in order to turn it off, you'll have to put out the incense cone

Can I use aroma liquid drops?

No they would not work the design of the burner requires cones. The cones are what causes the flow of what you see drifting down.

Do not know where it is made but it is well made. I am very happy with mine.

Are there any chemicals in the incense?

Not sure about chemicals but it definitely wasn’t a pleasant smell in my opinion…..I returned this item…it looked pretty cool but only burned for 5 minutes and I didn’t really Like the smell
