I've been very happy with this litter box. It's easier to use the ones with no top. But if by chance you have a cat that is less conscientious about use than you'd prefer.... you're just better off with a sturdy one like this with a top. It's big enough for a large cat, and easy to pop the lid off to empty it if you need to. No spills ever make it outside the litter box.

This litter box is a good size, I haven't had it very long, but is seems very sturdy. Easy to take the top off to clean. Or you can take the door off and reach in if you prefer. My cat seems to like the door. It was well worth what I spent on it. I would buy it again.

I inherited two cats, one is a calico who is a bigger cat. Not fat just a big girl approximately 10-12 pounds. A normal size litter box was just too small so I got her this covered litter box & it fits her fine. She has room to move around in it, the opening is such that she doesn't have to duck her head a lot to get in/out. It's sturdy & easy to clean out. I can't say the filter works great but the box is perfect in every other way & im really glad I bought it. She no longer gets litter everywhere & has sufficient room to move around in it. A win for both of us.

The litter box arrived early but the swinging door came broken. One of the pegs on the side to insert the door into the box had snapped off and the door is unusable, please ship this product better in the future! However, my cat doesn’t care if it has a door and neither do I, so we will be keeping and using it without the door. The litter box itself is quite large which is what I wanted since my cat is a 2yr old male mainecoon, he fits in it well enough to use.

Good size, cat likes it, looks nice. Took off the swinging door because my cat was puzzled but all in all good.

We have a 20 lb cat- not obese just built big. The box we had required him to jump up on the top and go down into a hole to do his business - well, it became a problem as he grew and dirtied his back and matted his fur. This box allows him full and easy access without any aerobics. The box is sturdy, and looks good. It is easier to clean and doesn't smell any worse than the more expensive old one. The lid locks in place - some reviewers have mentioned a problem- we have not had any issues with locking. Good value for the money.

I purchased the litter box less than 5 months ago and 2 of the plastic snapping hinges to lock on the top broke about a month ago and one more is barely working. The hinges are short in height. I purchased it because I could not find the Target brand one I previously purchased. It still functions, but you can no longer lift it up with the handle. It also cost considerably more than the Target brand. The Target brand has larger/thicker hinges and is far sturdier.
