These little suckers work really well. I'm using them for a magnetic spice rack, and 1 magnet per 4 oz container is plenty. I glued 3 to the containers full of salt for extra protection from the weight, but I think 2 would have sufficed. I watched a YouTube video on handling and separating the magnets. I didn't have a single one snap, break, or fly across to the others. Just be smart about handling them. Great little magnets.

They're not kidding when they say these things are strong. I've had spoons, spray cans, heck even my x-acto knife fly through the air to cling to these things. Getting one magnet off of the stack is quite the work-out. When I glue them to the fridge magnets I've been making, I have to space them about 6" apart to let them dry. If I don't, the magnets either fly out of the glue to latch onto each other or if they're flipped, they'll push each other away and slide right out of the glue.Honestly, while the black magnets are much weaker, I find these to be overkill for my purposes. I don't need to hold ten tons to my fridge, just the random piece of paper, haha.

These magnets are FAR stronger than I expected. I wanted them for fridge magnets (attaching a stack of three to homemade crafts to adhere to the fridge) but probably bought too high of a rating...they are much stronger than the hot glue I was using for attachment. I played around with them for a bit upon opening and ended up breaking a lone one when it got caught up in the pull of the main stack. It smacked against the stack and shattered. After that I watched the youtube videos as suggested in the packaging, which explain how to properly detach and attach individual magnets from the stack. As long as I am careful when attaching and detaching these from the fridge (pulling the magnets rather than what's attached), then they work terrific.

These are VERY strong magnets. It's actually really hard to separate one from a stack. I used mine to make 'needle keeps' for friends who do hand-sewing (you can just lay your needle on the magnet and it holds it securely, no dropped needles to search for in carpet or upholstery), and they were a hit. These also make great refrigerator magnets and will hold up heavier things (children's larger artwork, etc). They are NOT toys or for children, and I recommend you use care even during normal handling as I managed to pinch my fingers a few times.

I'm very torn between 3 and 4 stars. They are super strong, which I love. And super fragile, which I Do Not love.. They like to snap back on themselves when trying to separate & do so at such a force that sometimes the magnet will basically shatter. Buy extra to make up for the smashed ones if you have a large project.. you will need them.

Purchased these to use in a costume, and was very impressed with the strength of these magnets. If you keep two or three together the pull is stronger as well. Now I used these to hold some metallic spice shakers from costco that lost their cheap stick on magnet sticker backing, and these have worked perfectly.

I have a magnetic wall in my office where I post maps. These little magnets do the job. They are small, so cover up only a 1/2" dot on the map. Once you get them apart and stuck in place, they hold tight. I have heavy, laminated maps and these little dudes do the trick. Shipping and packaging were excellent. You can't go wrong with these if you need small, very strong magnets.

These magnets worked great - they are very strong and easily hold five pounds. We were even able to get them to hold thorugh an inch of wood. Yet they come apart easily when slid apart - work great as long we didn't ry to pull or pry apart - they are small and strong. Ordered them for a specific proeuct but would love to get more just to play with - very fun stuff.
