Shortly after my review seller contacted me for battery replacement which was quickly shipped out. Impressed with the haslte free process in getting a new battery, so updated my rating. Customer service makes a huge difference.This battery initially worked fine for up to three-four months. Then dropped in charging usage time. Shortly after this, the battery is completely dead and requires a replacement.

I need to apologize to the manufacturer of these batteries. Let me explain.I have a Dyson Animal V8 vacuum, and I ordered this replacement battery for it. It's been working for about 3 months and it's totally extended the life of my vacuum.A couple of weeks ago, my vacuum started making the same sound as when my old battery died. So I thought this new battery died, too. (I was wrong, but didn't know it at the time.)I left this 1-star review. Customer service reached out asking if I wanted a replacement, since it was within the 12 month warranty. I agreed, and I had my replacement within 3 days.So I start to replace the battery, I disconnect my vacuum's suction tube and realize... I had a big napkin stuck in the tube... which is why the vacuum didn't work. IT WASN'T THE BATTERY'S FAULT AT ALL!Now, I feel awful, because I left an obnoxious (and until now, inaccurate) review, this company did everything right, and they had to forfeit a good battery for me to realize the error of my ways. I feel for them, because my inlaws have a small Amazon business and they deal with this all the time.So, I just want to say, for the record... MY BEHAVIOR WASN'T COOL, AND I'M SORRY. Thank you for the good battery and good customer service.Here's my original review below:My Dyson Animal vacuum's battery was dead. It made the vacuum go WHOOSH-WHOOSH from the battery cutting out every second once the vacuum got to full suction. Even when the battery appeared full (3 lights, done charging.) This is what happens to batteries that die due to old age or bad quality. (Source: I'm a trained electrical engineer who's tested hundreds of batteries.)So I ordered this battery as a replacement. Price was good, capacity was good. For 3 months it worked.Then it died just like the original battery. Even after a full charge, it now makes the same WHOOSH-WHOOSH where the vacuum is useless.Now I'm back where I started. I'm not going to buy another battery from this brand, because they don't sell quality batteries.If you're considering a purchase, please note that mine failed after the 30 day return window closed, so my money is wasted. Hopefully you don't do what I did.

The advertised mAh is definitely a lie. After a full charge, lasted maybe almost as long as the original OEM directly from Dyson. As for longevity, we will have to wait and see. I will post if it last long enough as others have reported it dies after 40 days.The plug to charge is small and extremely tight. Almost yanked my dock out when trying to undock it to use.UPDATE: After over a month of using my vacuum with this battery, it finally died on me. What a waste of money. It died a few days after the return window has expired. Stay away if you don't want to throw your money away for a few time of using it. On top of that, the battery duration is less than half of the original battery that came with the vacuum.

This battery worked well while it lasted but I’ve had it four months and it won’t hold a charge at all.UPDATE: Seller saw my review and offered to send me a new battery. Their customer service is excellent.

Turned my non-working Dyson into a new machine! I can't believe how easy and affordable it was to just replace the battery! I was ready to toss my Dyson in the trash! Woo Hoo this battery saved the day!

This battery gives more power to my V8 animal cordless vacuum and was very easy to install. Love that it came with the needed Phillips-head to install. Works great.

I was worried about buying this battery since it was so much cheaper than many others, but so far I am super pleased. I guess my original battery degraded more than I realized, but I also believe this one is better than my original one every was. Even when my original battery was new, I am pretty sure it didn't last as long while on Max mode. I don't know about longevity since I've only been using it a few months, but so far so good.

This battery works way better than the Dyson battery that was on my vacuum before! Instead of only being able to clean 2 rooms before it dies I now can do my entire upstairs and downstairs! Also, this thing is way cheaper than any Dyson battery!
